Is Sigrid de L'Azur good?
An Ice attacker whose timed stance levels up as she uses certain skills, each refresh unlocking a stronger enhanced Basic. Those Basics can parry, trading their damage for faster stance progress and more Daze, and landing a Chain Attack on a stunned enemy enters Formation Breaker for a full enhanced string without refreshing.
Her damage sits a step above earlier crit attackers, she works with many stunners and supports, and her gear and W-Engine options are flexible. Lining up her Basics with Decibels needs routing, she loses part of her Additional Ability without Wind, and she easily overcaps Crit Rate.

Sigrid is a Scandinavian feminine given name from Old Norse Sigríðr, composed of the elements sigr "victory" and fríðr "beautiful."
Sigrid's surname, de L'Azur, means "of the azure" in French.
In-game, this name is said to mean "Knight of the Skies."

Sigrid de L'Azur, the current Deputy Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department, trusted adjutant to Lindverne Sunbringer, and heir apparent to House de L'Azur, one of Roscaelifer's most prestigious noble families.
Like all those legendary figures, Sigrid has a long, long string of titles attached to her name. Yet even now, after serving for years as the Airspace Patrol Department's Deputy Administrative Director and earning top annual performance honors time and again, she still finds herself wondering whether she's truly worthy of the legendary hero "Sigrid" spoken of throughout the streets of Roscaelifer.
You can't exactly blame Sigrid for lacking confidence. After all, when the stories claim she can "stand shoulder to shoulder with a Void Hunter," "smash a building apart with one hand," or "blast straight through a Hollow with a single stab of her spear," any honest and sensible warrior would question whether they could truly achieve such feats with the weapon in their hand.
There is, however, one legend Sigrid has never doubted: "So long as my spear remains unbroken, the miracle of the skies shall never end."
Story 2
"The de L'Azur family has followed Lindverne for generations," Sigrid says, just as her mother did before her, as has every heir of House de L'Azur.
But Lindverne dislikes the word "follow." Her relationship with Sigrid, or with any member of House de L'Azur, has never been one of leader and follower. They're comrades who fight side by side, as well as trusted friends and mutual mentor and student. Every de L'Azur has regarded Lindverne as a teacher, and each has taught her a great deal in return.
Yet no matter how hard each generation of House de L'Azur strives, there's one thing they'll never surpass Lindverne in: lifespan. That's the subtle, roundabout way Lindverne chooses to conceal her unease. And so the de L'Azur oath never speaks a specific name, repeating instead the solemn vow to "follow for generations."
The ever-irresponsible Lady Lindverne praised the achievements of each new Deputy Director of the Airspace Patrol Department so extravagantly that everyone came to believe every de L'Azur surpassed the last. The de L'Azurs take great pride in that legacy, but to Lindverne, every de L'Azur is one of a kind. One day, just as she once came to have Sigrid by her side, she'll lose her too. That is the inescapable curse of being loved by the House de L'Azur.
But Sigrid will always have Lindverne. That is the blessing of being a de L'Azur.
