Is Ping Hai good?

Ping Hai deals bonus damage against Sakura Empire ships, which shows up often since they're common on regular maps, and she gains even more firepower when sortied alongside Ning Hai. Durability is still a real weak point for her despite carrying medium armor.

Ping Hai is voiced by Misaki Kuno in Japanese.

Background

Ping Hai has smaller breasts than her sister, Ning Hai, which could be reference to the fact that Ping Hai was ultimately modified to be less top-heavy upon completion due to Guomindang financial priorities and Japanese concerns about top-heaviness after the Tomozaru incident.

Unlike Ning Hai, Ping Hai wasn't built with an aircraft hanger and ultimately had a smaller powerplant than her sister.

Moreover, an engine was removed and her AA complement was substantially reduced.

How to get Ping Hai

Originally obtainable only via construction, as a Dragon Empery light cruiser in the SR-ship slot of Grand Fleet Support; that method was later removed by an update, and she does not drop in normal stages. Also later gained a retrofit form.
