Career 1: You, causing trouble! Eat my pestle!

"You there! Halt, criminal!"

When the sounds of running, chasing, and shrieking echo once again through the streets of Tangton, it may come as a surprise to glimpse the petite silhouette of a mortar-and-pestle-toting young lady dashing down the road.

"Emm— Emma!" Tailing behind, her colleague gasps out, "It's just littering!

We— don't have to— chase them down!"

"You're saying littering isn't wrong? It impacts the appearance of the city, you know!

Don't try to hold me back, or I'll smack you with my pestle too!"

Following the crisp crack of shattering glass, nearby residents can't help but shake their heads in exasperation.

Career 2: The twists and turns of being a Marshal.

Emma was born into a medical family. While she excelled at school, her cute and petite appearance caused others to underestimate her.

After gaining divine powers, she immediately chose to become a Marshal, hoping to prove herself in an impressive fashion.

Her efforts backfired, however, as the townsfolk shunned her.

Emma became one of the least popular Marshals, resulting in her being transferred to a low-level position in Lower City.

Emma's superiors tried to tell her that the main duty of a Marshal is to provide a sense of safety for residents, and that force couldn't be used to solve all problems.

Career 3: Maybe there's a better way. Having noticed the frequent disappearance of medicinal herbs, Emma realized it was an opportunity to prove herself.

She failed to catch the smugglers red-handed, however, and only worsened her reputation by using force without sufficient evidence.

Trapped in a downward spiral, Emma realized that the thorn in her side—Ethan—was working with the smugglers.

As the petite and deceptively cute Emma managed to loop Ethan into the investigation team, she also discovered a new way of getting work done.

How could a silver tongue and beating around the bush solve so many problems?

"Not all problems can be solved with force."

Her boss' words swirled through her mind yet again.

Career 4: More than just suppression by force.

The smuggling case came to a conclusion when Ethan, who had worked with Emma to trap the culprits, meekly confessed and accepted whatever punishment might come.

Before, Emma would have sent him to the Marshal's Department with a hard smack...

... But this time, she only gave him a light flick on the forehead.

Emma's success greatly improved her reputation, and her superiors were so impressed they offered to transfer her back, but she refused.

Emma remains in Lower City to this day, where she and Ethan set up the All-Trades Agency to provide a sense of safety to even more people.

It's no longer all about force.
