Is Phantasio good?

Phantasio converts his Max Sanity directly into Attack, so building up his Sanity pool is basically building his damage stat. His ultimate drops him into a Bestial Fury state for big Skill Damage, and he holds up well against both bosses and mob waves.

He just falls a bit short of the game's very best DPS units in raw numbers.

    Skill

    Deals Umbro Damage to enemies in front and inflicts 5 stacks of [Adagio] on them, up to 10 stacks. The remaining time of the effect is refreshed with each new stack gained. When in [Bestial Fury] state, this skill is replaced with [Aria]. Aria: Dashes forward, dealing Umbro Damage to enemies along the path, and gains [Presto]. [Presto]: Increases Skill Range and grants immunity to Hitstun.

  • Curtain Up

    Ultimate

    Enters [Bestial Fury] state and continuously consumes Sanity; when Sanity drops to 0, [Bestial Fury] state ends. Weapons can not be used during [Bestial Fury] state. Melee Attack is replaced with [Furious Claws], performing up to four consecutive attacks to deal Umbro Damage. When used in the air, Phantasio performs Plunging Attack and deals Umbro damage to enemies within range. Ranged Attack is replaced with [Mournful Howl], firing an energy beam to deal Umbro Damage. When the 3-hit of [Furious Claws] and [Mournful Howl] deal damage, triggers [Duo]; when the 4-hit of [Furious Claws] and the Plunging Attack deal damage, triggers [Fermata]. Duo: Grants a certain amount of [Immersion]. This effect can only be triggered once every 0.1 seconds. Fermata: Increases Phantasio's damage based on the target's [Adagio] stacks, then removes all [Adagio] stacks. When there are 10 [Adagio] stacks on the target, restores Phantasio's Sanity and grants a certain amount of [Immersion]. This effect can only be triggered once every attack.

    When in [Bestial Fury] state, increases Attack based on Phantasio's Max Sanity. Phantasio gains [Immersion] by using skills, with the [Immersion] cap equal to Phantasio's Max Sanity. Using [Recitativo] or [Aria] gains a certain amount of [Immersion]; when in [Bestial Fury] state, continuously gains [Immersion] per second. When [Immersion] reaches its maximum in [Bestial Fury] state, Phantasio enters [Bestial Fury: Devotion] state. Bestial Fury: Devotion: While under [Bestial Fury: Devotion], continuously drains [Immersion] instead of Sanity to maintain the state. Increases Skill Speed, and boosts ATK based on the user's Max Sanity. While active, [Bestial Fury: Devotion] prevents [Immersion] gain from sustaining Beast Form.

    When the 3-hit of Furious Claws and Mournful Howl deal damage, there is a chance to inflict 1 Adagio stack on the target.

How to get Phantasio

No free unlock stated; obtainable via Secret Letters from Covert Commissions (10 on the Golden reward track / 2 on the Silver) or by buying Character Thoughts for 150 Phoxene Plumule in the Shop. 30 Thoughts are needed to unlock him or raise an Intron level.

Phantasio's signature weapon is Blast Artistry.
