Randy tanks by scaling his own damage off Defense rather than Attack, which also makes him unusually durable, and he throws up a barrier that blocks frontal projectiles outright. He's particularly strong in co-op, spreading Ultra Shields and Defense buffs to the whole team, and his attacks are efficient at breaking enemy shields so the rest of the party can hit through them.

The catch is that not many units actually benefit damage-wise from his Defense buffs, so he mostly earns his slot on sustain alone.

Pairs well with: Zhiliu; Fushu; Flora; Fina.

Disgrace to the Howard Family

The Howard name carries significant weight within the Empire.

What everyone remembers, though, is that generations of Howards have served as the Emperor's most loyal and fearless defenders, renowned for their tactical brilliance and unwavering valor.

Randy's father was no exception, embodying all the traditional Howard traits: loyalty, strength, and bravery.

Unfortunately, none of these admirable qualities seems to have been passed down to Randy.

Disgrace to the Howard family, that's how Randy's Father had described him since he was a child.

Lazy Yet Efficient Golden Retriever

Randy Howard is a Lieutenant Colonel in the 13th Legion of the Hyperborean Empire, and adjutant to Legion Chief Sibylle Mason.

He is often spotted relaxing around the bustling halls of the 13th Legion, while the soldiers were frantically working around him.

New recruits enquire about Randy's laid-back approach, and marvel at the breadth and efficiency of his work, as well as the innovative problem-solving reflected in his reports.

The only one unimpressed by these reports is Lynn.

She once thought of him as an obnoxious golden retriever, but after looking over his reports, it changed into a lazy yet reliable golden retriever.

Obtainable via Secret Letters from Covert Commissions (10 on the Golden reward track / 2 on the Silver) or by buying Character Thoughts for 150 Phoxene Plumule in the Shop. 30 Thoughts are needed to unlock him or raise an Intron level.
