Her S2 fires extra random hits for each buff she has, up to 7 in total, and her S1 heals her. She relies on buffs for damage and her S2 is random in AoE.

Background

Union Report=This file is protected and for internal E.O.S.

and Union access only. Unauthorized distribution is prohibited.Animus Lian, Identity Code E05-042411, Re-A Chip Status: Normal, No Abnormal Fluctuations. She is the very definition of reliability.

Former captain of the Meltdown Response Bureau's Special Operations Unit 4, she possesses extensive combat experience and sharp intuition.

Having successfully completed over a thousand high-stakes assignments, she is one of the most outstanding Animus in recent Union history. With her as the backbone, any team would have the best safeguard.

|-|Memory FragmentI= "Why did you join E.O.S.?" After resolving yet another meltdown emergency, Beyontin couldn't hold back his curiosity any longer and asked the question that had been on his mind.

Lian, lying on the hospital bed, barely glanced at him before replying.

"For a Reason." "That's it? Was it really worth it...?" Lian didn't answer immediately, instead flipping through the incident report in silence.

At the time, Etheria was experiencing frequent meltdowns, forcing E.O.S.

to recruit more Animus to form emergency response teams.

These squads were sent straight into the most dangerous zones, given many names—"firefighters," "suicide squads"...

even "disposable pawns." Their latest job had taken them to a once-thriving commercial district, now a hellscape swallowed by Genesis corruption.

Contaminants and meltdown creatures poured in like an unending tide.

Although E.O.S. had distributed a "reagent" to combat Genesis, it was barely a drop in the ocean.

Lian and Beyontin had been the last Animus standing, fighting desperately to escort a Hyperlinker to the rift spewing out Genesis, ultimately stabilizing the near-collapsing Meltdown Zone.

Their teammates' sacrifices, the heavy casualties—they all became nothing more than cold statistics in the final report, reduced to a few brief lines in the news.

Lian reached the end of the report. E.O.S.

had decided to officially integrate the temporary Meltdown Interceptor unit into a permanent organization-one that, for the first time, would be led by Animus.

Its name: the Meltdown Response Bureau, dedicated to handling all disasters caused by Genesis.

"Of course, it was all worth it." |-|Memory FragmentII= "Do you still remember why you joined E.O.S.?" In a temporary base of Sivirion, Beyontin idly toyed with a controller before suddenly bringing up what seemed like an unrelated question.

"Put it down. I already told you, it was for my dream-what does that have to do with this?" "Well, since you were willing to sacrifice your life for your dream back then, surely you wouldn't object to a necessary sacrifice now." "Your so-called necessary sacrifice could mean the deaths of thousands of innocents." "I'm simply carrying out orders from the Defense & Security Bureau.

You know just as well as I do—if we don't activate Soulthresher, the higher-ups will take notice and send others to suppress the situation.

Your meaningless mercy won't save them." Lian had to admit Beyontin was right.

No matter who stood in their position, they would likely make the same choice she did.

"I thought you were a partner I could trust, someone who would stand with me and find another way.

Looks like I was wrong." "Sorry, I respect your dream, but I don't share your lofty ideals.

I'll be the villain instead." Before Lian could react, Beyontin pressed the controller.

Soulthresher activated soundlessly, yet everything was already decided.

A surge of anger and frustration filled Lian, and her hand instinctively reached for her sword.

But in the end, reason held her back-she couldn't draw her weapon against Beyontin.

They were simply fated to walk different paths.

|-|Memory FragmentIII= "What made you decide to leave E.O.S.?" Many had asked Lian this question before.

Her new partner, Gray, was no exception.

"... It's complicated. But if I had to sum it up in one word—it's because of my dream." It was an unusual answer, but Gray was considerate enough not to pry further.

To Lian, E.O.S. was like a massive warship carrying Etheria's fate—steered by countless decisions, ambitions, and hidden agendas, all pushing it forward at full speed.

No one knew exactly where it was headed, but Lian was certain it wasn't a destination she wanted.

And with her limited power, she could never hope to change its course.

So, she left. From Meltdown Response Bureau to Defense & Security Bureau, then finally breaking away from E.O.S.

to join Union-Lian's work remained largely the same.

She still traveled between Meltdown zones, escorting Union's Hyperlinkers to neutralize one Genesis contamination source after another.

The difference was, now there were no rigid orders, no cold bureaucratic documents.

She could tackle problems in ways she believed in, without being forced into choices that betrayed her conscience.

In Union, there were no strict divisions between humans and Animuses.

Teams formed freely, bound by trust rather than protocol.

It looked disorganized on the surface, yet beneath it lay an unspoken understanding-one strong enough to entrust each other with their lives.

Union was just a small corner of Etheria.

But to Lian, it was a glimpse of the world she had always dreamed of.
