Constantine

Constantine is a Mythic+ character in DC: Dark Legion. Constantine's weapon type is ranged and role is Magical.

Constantine has been one of the best damage dealers in the game since launch, rivaling Sinestro for the top Spiritual damage slot. Summoned Flame covers almost the entire battlefield and his Black Magic Surge stacking makes follow-up hits even harder, plus a Burn debuff for extra damage over time. We have him at A; he's fragile with limited health and few ways to protect himself, so any stun or interrupt that catches his cast can shut down a big chunk of his damage, and his ideal home is a full Justice League Dark squad in Position 4, shielded by Doctor Fate and Swamp Thing with Zatanna and Raven backing him up.

John Constantine was born in Liverpool, England.

His mother died in childbirth, for which his father blamed John, resulting in a strained relationship between the two of them.

John learned that he came from a line of occult practitioners known as the Laughing Magicians, and he began to explore mysticism and magic.

John left home as a teenager, moving to London and forming a punk band whose roadie, Chas Chandler, would become a lifelong friend.

Young and defiant, he felt ready to conquer the world, but had no idea of the horrors that awaited him.

While on tour in Newcastle, Constantine discovered a scene where an abused child had inadvertently conjured a monster that took revenge on her abusers, but then would not leave or let her go.

John summoned a demon to destroy the monster, but being inexperienced at magic, he didn't use the demons' true name and thus did not have full control over it.

The demon, Nergal, destroyed the monster but took the little girl back with it to hell.

Following this horrific incident, Constantine had a nervous breakdown and was committed to Ravenscar Psychiatric Hospital for an extended period.

After learning more about magic, Constantine felt ready to take on Nergal again.

Through magic and trickery, he freed the souls of the little girl Nergal had taken, along with other children trapped in hell.

While studying magic, Constantine met and began a romance with fellow student Zatanna Zatara.

But Constantine was a restless and roguish type and could never stay in one place for long.

He also had begun to feel that being around him was dangerous, so he moved on.

Years later, when a supernatural threat called the Great Darkness loomed, Constantine assembled mystics including Zatanna and her father Zatara to probe it.

The Darkness detected them and attacked Zatanna, but Zatara magically redirected the attack onto himself and was killed.

While she knew it wasn't Constantine's fault, Zatanna couldn't help but hold him partially responsible, and while they have remained friends and occasionally shared a romantic moment or two, they haven't managed to rekindle their relationship.
