Superboy

Superboy is a Mythic+ character in DC: Dark Legion. Superboy's role is Supporter.

On our DC: Dark Legion tier list Superboy is C tier, 22nd of the 36 characters ranked, from where 4 current tier lists put Superboy.

After Superman was seemingly killed fighting Doomsday, Project Cadmus tried to create a clone to replace him.

The clone had only been aged to his teens when he broke out.

He believed he was created from Kryptonian DNA, though not Superman's.

His powers were different, using Tactile Telekinesis (mental control over things he touched) to mimic things like flight and super-strength.

Trying to fill the void left by Superman, he was initially rash and impulsive, but his intentions were good, and he worked hard, quickly becoming a valued hero to Metropolis.

Responding to the destruction of Coast City, he was tricked and defeated by Cyborg Superman, but the return of the real Superman saved the day.

With its champion returned, Superboy felt Metropolis no longer needed him and moved to Hawaii.

Superboy spent some time as the hero of Hawaii, where he dated a young reporter named Tana Moon.

However, Superboy was infected by a genetic virus that started breaking down his cells and, though he was cured, doctors told him he was left in a state where he might not age normally.

Uncomfortable with this and Superboy's youthful impulsivity, including flirting with other girls, Tana broke up with him.

Superman invited Superboy to the Fortress of Solitude and showed him Krypton through virtual reality.

He was he consider Superboy part of the family and offered him the Kryptonian name Kon-El.

Deeply moved, Superboy accepted, suing the name Conner Kent when staying at the Kent Farm or using a civilian identity.

Superboy also became a member of Young Justice, a team of youthful heroes.

After Young Justice disbanded, Superboy joined the Teen Titans.

Robin discovered that Conner's DNA contained Superman's genes but also a human's, and the source was Lex Luthor.

Ashamed of this, Conner asked Robin to keep it a secret.

After some time with the Titans, he decided to tell them the truth, but before he could, Luthor activated a code he had implanted in Superboy to turn him against his friends.

Superboy was ultimately able to break free, but the guilt he felt over what happened made him quit the team and retreat to the Kent Farm for a long period of time.

When the deranged Superboy Prime came from another Earth bent on creating a new Multiverse, Conner sacrificed his life to stop him.

He was buried in Metropolis under a statue honoring his sacrifice.
