Profile

Kara (Serket) carries the title "Girl genius". Kara (Serket) is a female Esper. Her birthday is March 16, 2001, and she stands 165cm tall.

Background

The Price of Progress: A prodigy walking on the path of justice?

Or just the lunatic that others say she is?

Kara couldn't care either way.

After all, scientific progress demands a price be paid.

If that price is Kara's life, so be it.

Career 1: Geniuses abominate mediocrity.

Even though she failed to become an Esper, Kara still easily stands out among the crowd.

Kara’s talents and insecurity have given rise to a very unique temperament: though she can be obnoxiously arrogant (and justly so), people are most often bewildered by her overwhelming eccentricity.

Unlike most people, Kara absolutely thrives on being the center of attention and abhors mediocrity to the point of fearing it.

For this reason, whenever the opportunity presents itself, Kara will display her divine powers as though she were putting on a show, with little or no concern for propriety.

Naturally, this type of behavior will sometimes result in difficulties for the people around her...

But who has time to worry about harmless, little details like that?

Career 2: What does it matter if you need to pay a small price when getting a lot of attention is the result?

In the past, everyone in Geran knew the “teen girl of genius” who came to be out of nowhere.

Kara grew up under the watchful eye of countless media when she was a child.

Due to the misguided value system Kara’s parents embedded in her, she thought that getting a lot of publicity is the only way to make one’s life worthwhile.

When Esper appeared one after another, Kara started to experiment madly on herself.

Even though she had awoken successfully, she was still insatiable.

She did not stop experimenting and took her research to a whole other level because she wanted to become even more powerful.

Kara achieved what she wished and became a man-made Esper, which attracted a great deal of attention.

For her, paying the small price of becoming emotionally unstable is nothing.

Career 3: Kara has never been aware of jealous she is of Anesidora.

More than anything, Kara hates it when someone better than her is the center of attention.

As a result, she is constantly tormented by the presence of Anesidora at her side.

Kara believes that Anesidora is intent on stealing her spotlight, whether it was back in their Academy days or the Shadow Decree.

Her paranoia towards Anesidora has always prevented her from realizing just how jealous she is of her colleague.

When Hyde shut down his research project, Kara felt an immense sense of relief.

She had no intention of sharing the fruits of her labor with anyone but herself, much less that infuriating pest Anesidora.

Career 4: Neither rules nor constraints are required on the path of research.

Becoming an Esper through her own power made Kara both smug and complacent.

Having a deep dislike for rules, Kara began breaking the Esper Union’s rules one by one shortly after her Transformation.

Unlike most others, her decision to join the Shadow Decree had nothing to do with her stance on matters; she simply felt it fulfilled all of her requirements and was the best place to carry out her Transformation experiments.

This was due in part to Hyde promising that he would impose no rules or restrictions on her, a promise he has since been made to regret wholeheartedly.

Now a fully-fledged Shadow Researcher, Kara’s negative tendencies have only gotten worse.

Dozens of priceless specimens and hulking modification chambers fill her laboratory, a testament to her persisting obsession with Transformation experimentation.
