Introduction

On our Etheria: Restart tier list Rin is A tier, 25th of the 96 characters ranked, from where 16 current tier lists put Rin.

By game mode, Rin is C in PvE and C in PvP.

Is Rin good?

The go-to SR tank if you don't have Tiamat. She taunts with her S1 and S3, her S2 gives the team DEF+ and a shield, and her S3 lowers ATK on every enemy. Taunt is rare and works on many bosses immune to other control.

In a game driven by SPD and turn meter she can feel slow, since she only brings defense, has long cooldowns and has no answer to control.

Pairs well with: Tiamat.

Strengths

  • Rare Taunt that works on most bosses
  • Team DEF+ and shield
  • AoE ATK-

Weaknesses

  • Slows clears down
  • No way to shrug off control
  • Long cooldowns

Profile

Rin carries the title "Wild Rampage". Rin is a female Animus.

Background

Union Report=Animus Rin, Identity Code S03-073086, Re-A Chip Status: Stable, No Abnormal Fluctuations.A runaway rebel, the lowest-ranked in moral conduct scores, and a serial rule-breaker-these titles alone paint a clear picture of Rin.

Yet, at the same time, she is fiercely loyal and stands up for justice, always stepping in to help those who can't defend themselves, even at the risk of inviting trouble.Because of this, many students at 13th High School naturally see Rin as their "big sister" figure.

|-| Memory FragmentI=Rin was born into one of the great families of Shen Metropolis.

Her father, the patriarch, wielded enormous influence both within the family and across the city.

His strict discipline spared no one-not even his own daughter. From childhood, Rin was molded into the image of a "proper lady." Daily studies, rigorous etiquette training—an endless cycle of lessons far too heavy for a young girl to bear.

She longed to play like other common children, to explore the world beyond the cold, towering walls of her home.

But when she voiced these desires to her parents, she was met with furious reprimands.

To them, "play" was a poison-one that would corrupt her mind and erode her discipline.

They warned her in the harshest terms: Obey, or be cast out.

Disobey, and you will never again enjoy the comfort of wealth and privilege. But that longing never faded.

Instead, it grew stronger with time. Unlike the other well-bred daughters who surrendered to their fate, Rin fought back.

She argued, debated, pleaded for even a sliver of personal freedom.

She never won. Until one day, after an especially heated argument, she made her decision."If a life of comfort means being trapped forever behind these walls —then I'd rather have nothing." And with that, Rin left home.

|-| Memory FragmentII=Rin had completely lost her financial support after leaving home and was forced to wander the streets.During those days of drifting, she would occasionally reminisce about the times when food and clothing were readily

provided at home, but the moment she recalled the endless, buzzing lectures that still echoed in her mind like noise, whatever nostalgia she had would instantly vanish.Life on the streets wasn't easy, but Rin quickly found her way to survive.

In the past, no matter how hard she tried, she could never master the soft and graceful postures required in etiquette class.

But now, free from restrictions, able to swing her fists as she pleased, she was thrilled to discover her talent for combat.

With this strength and her bold, outspoken nature, Rin soon made a name for herself in the underworld and gained a following.

However, this notoriety also reached her family, bringing trouble along with it.To a prestigious family, a runaway daughter becoming a gang leader was nothing short of a disgraceful stain on their name.

The family elders pulled every string they could, pressuring Rin relentlessly.

They gave her two choices-either return home and resume her role as a "proper lady," or go into hiding, living the rest of her life nameless and unnoticed. At first, Rin didn't care.

She answered every family-sent troublemaker with her fists.

But as the situation escalated, the small-time gang members who once followed her started to crack under the threats and bribes from the powerful figures in her family.

One by one, they abandoned her. By the time Rin realized what was happening, she was alone once more.

No one dared stay by her side. Even former allies, those she once called friends, turned against her for their own safety or gain.Furious yet with no outlet for her anger, Rin found herself without a single place to call her own in the vast expanse of Shen Metropolis. It was then that Constans, the school principal, found her.

Recognizing her potential, he offered her a place at 13th High School-promising to protect her from her family and give her the freedom she desired.

|-| Memory FragmentIII=At 13th High School, Rin met the nemesis of her lifetime. She had thought that once she enrolled, she would finally be free from her family's control, able to do whatever she pleased under the school's protection.

However, the moment she arrived and saw the rulebook-thicker than a dictionary-only one thought echoed in her mind:"This isn't what I signed up for!"But for Rin, this wasn't much of a problem.

Rules were dead words on paper-people, on the other hand, were alive. And indeed, her family never came to bother her again, which pleased her immensely.

As for the school rules? She couldn't care less.

Skipping class, getting into fights, disregarding conduct scores-she did it all.

In her eyes, "disciplinary points" were about as valuable as discarded gum wrappers. But there was one huge annoyance: Tsukiyo Mi.The so-called model student, president of the student council, patrolled the school daily under the pretense of 'helping' students with their studies and well-being.

To Rin, he was nothing more than an insufferable meddler.

Even when she was peacefully blowing bubbles on the rooftop, he had to show up, demanding she return to class.

Worse still, his power was overwhelming, and for some damn reason, he could always find her, no matter where she hid.Fighting him wasn't an option.

Hiding was pointless. It was infuriating.

To Rin, Tsukiyo Mi was nothing but an empty shell of a person, clinging to rules more meaningless than a child's pretend game. One day, she swore, she'd use her fists to smash those rules to pieces.
