Raven

Raven is a Mythic character in DC: Dark Legion. Raven's role is Supporter.

Raven was born to Angela Roth, a runaway who joined the cult of Trigon, and the extradimensional demon Trigon himself.

Not wishing her daughter to be raised by a demon, Angela fled to a mystic dimension called Azarath, where pacifistic monks and their spiritual leader, the Azar, gave them refuge.

When Raven was born, her mother (who took the name Arella) and the monks of Azarath raised her to control her emotions and suppress her demonic side.

When Raven was in her late teens, she learned that Trigon was seeking her.

Returning to Earth, she sought help from the Justice League, but Zatanna sensed her demonic nature and suspected a trap, so they turned her away.

Instead, Raven assembled what became the New Teen Titans, a team that became like family to her.

Uniting former Titans Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and Beast Boy, Raven added Cyborg and Starfire, whom the Titans saved from pursuing aliens.

The team did defeat Trigon and confined him to an inter-dimensional prison.

Even so, Raven had to remain vigilant against his dark presence.

In several high-stress situations, she nearly lost control of herself to Trigon.

Eventually, Trigon escaped his prison and came to Earth, where he subtly influenced Raven's mind over months, finally fully possessing her.

Trigon's demon army invaded and destroyed Azarath and nearly conquered Earth while Raven was possessed by Trigon.

With no other choice, the Titans had to kill Raven so the souls of Azarath could enter her body and destroy Trigon.

Raven rose from the ashes, cleansed of Trigon's evil, then vanished.

Raven was captured by acolytes of the super-powered cult leader Brother Blood.

The Church of Blood used her in a plot to resurrect Brother Blood, who then used her to amplify his emotion-manipulating powers and cause a worldwide uprising of his believers.

As Blood poured more power into Raven, she became strong enough to regain her mind and easily defeated him, who was spirited away by loyalists.

Finally her own person, Raven was free to fully experience her emotions, which would prove to be its own challenge.

When she thought she might be in love with Nightwing, Raven unintentionally made him kiss her, although he loved Starfire.

Raven only later realized what she'd done and apologized.

Starfire understood and helped Raven learn to feel emotions without manipulating others.
