Shazam

Shazam is a Mythic character in DC: Dark Legion. Shazam's role is Guardian.

On our DC: Dark Legion tier list Shazam is C tier, 27th of the 36 characters ranked, from where 8 current tier lists put Shazam.

Billy Batson was as young, orphaned boy who spent time in the foster care system and occasionally lived on the streets of Fawcett City, a suburb of Philadelphia.

One day, he fell asleep on the subway and woke up at the Rock of Eternity, a mystic place where he encountered the ancient Wizard Shazam.

Shazam said he had been looking for someone pure of heart to pass his powers on to, and he deemed Billy worthy.

He asked Billy to speak his name. When Billy said "Shazam", a magic bolt of lightning transformed him into a full-grown man with the powers of seven gods and heroes of legend.

Repeating the word would turn him back into Billy.

With this incredible power, Billy protected the innocent and fought menaces such as the brilliant but evil scientist Dr.

Sivana and embodiments of the Deadly Sins.

Billy was brought into a foster home by a kind couple, Victor and Rosa Vasquez.

His adoptive siblings included Mary Bromfield, Freddy Freeman, Eugene Choi, Darla Dudley, and Pedro Peña.

While Billy was initially guarded around his foster family, he soon became friendly with Freddy, and Freddy discovered that Billy was Shazam.

Billy learned he could share his power with Freddy, and eventually his other siblings as well, when Black Adam, a former host of Shazam's power from millennia ago who became corrupted by it, awoke in the present.

Black Adam sought revenge of the Wizard Shazam and his current champion.

By working together, the Shazam Family was able to defeat Black Adam and the embodiments of the Seven Deadly Sins he released.

Requires 10 Shazam Shards to unlock (a full copy also unlocks him outright, or grants 10 Shards if already owned). Shards drop from Chaos, Order, and Divine Energy Keys and from Random Mythic Champion Shards; up to 10 Shards can be bought daily via Daily Deals in the Perks store and up to 20 every 7 days from the League Store, and Custom Mythic Champion Shards convert to his Shards at a 1:1 rate. Full copies also drop from The Bleed and those Keys. He is a boosted Champion in The Bleed when drafting from Constantine's, Supergirl's, and Superman's banners on servers 433 or lower, and Martian Manhunter's banner on servers 434 to 445.
