Ophelia was once the Ops Chief of the Esper Union, but she betrayed the Union and helped the Shadow Decree burn down the Union’s headquarters.

After that, she joined the Shadow Decree but never cared about the development of the organization.

tell them of the choice she made, tell them of her despair,

and then tell them of the hatred she cannot let go of.

In the end, she tore up the butterfly with her own hands,

because she knew there was no way to express what she had felt to anybody else.

Career 1: Ophelia is not what you’d call an approachable person.

Ophelia is often seen doing origami on the balcony, entirely absorbed in her work.

On such occasions, friendly greetings are brushed off with brief, automated responses.

She’s always been a lone wolf, ever since joining the Shadow Decree, seldom working with anyone else on missions.

With the power of Thanatos, she is more than capable of handling herself on her own.

The cold façade hasn’t made her popular among her colleagues though.

Still, if any of them are in need of help, she doesn’t hesitate to lend a hand.

That is Ophelia — quiet, efficient, and totally on her own, even in the toughest of situations.

Few people find her likable, probably because she doesn’t really need anyone else.

Career 2: Ophelia hates soap operas. Ophelia hates soap operas.

If anyone is watching them nearby, she walks over and turns off the screen.

Those relatively close to her may discover that she carries a crude wooden figurine around, treating it fondly like an old friend.

Known to only a selected few, the figurine is a gift from Yassin, her deceased lover, the one and only person who ever won her heart.

Maybe Ophelia doesn’t really hate love stories.

It’s just that romances, even the cheapest kind, remind her of what she has lost.

She was happy and loved once, like the girls in those soap operas, until fate decided to give her story a tragic turn...

Career 3: When Ophelia has a goal, she sticks to it no matter what.

Ophelia is headstrong. She sticks to her goals, even if it leads to catastrophic consequences.

The death of Yassin left Ophelia heartbroken.

She often spends hours at his grave, refusing to reconcile with reality.

By chance, she heard from colleagues that the death of Yassin may not have been a simple case of being killed in action.

Ever since, she started to hold a massive grudge against the Esper Union, leading to her forming a radical plan.

She tried to make use of everything and everyone to make her plan happen.

Even Everett, her best friend, became a pawn in her grand scheme of revenge.

Revenge is all she wants, at any cost. Backstabbing friends, betraying the Union, and joining the Shadow are only the start of it.

Career 4: Ophelia doesn’t believe in turning back.

Ophelia has abandoned everything she had and was, except for her undying love for Yassin.

She keeps the memories alive, of how Yassin used to bake her cakes, how she tried to help despite the lack of culinary talent, and how Yassin insisted only on her enjoyment.

The memories sting.

She still writes messages to Yassin, folding them into origami butterflies and disintegrating them with her power, hoping they will be delivered to him in the great beyond.

The sweet girl that she once was has died.

Revenge is now her only purpose, even if it means destroying her friendship with Everett.

There is no remorse, no turning back. Ophelia sticks to her goals, even if it means wading through hell.
