When the roadside crowd bursts into applause, he seems to quietly size them up too.

"Thank you all for your wonderful performance!"

As the crowd turn to each other, puzzled, he has already slipped away from the crowd in a set of unusual, dance-like steps, leaving them to wonder: who was watching who?

Career 2: The Flyingplume Voyageurs' unusual passenger.

Wenlock can usually be found on the deck of a Flyingplume Voyageurs ship, quietly reading a book.

As the storm winds begin to howl, the crew hurry to lower the sails and secure the cargo.

Only Wenlock remains calm, strolling amidships to observe the scene with interest.

The crew know him as a star of the stage in Estero Harbor many years ago, but his eccentric behavior keeps anyone from getting too close.

Liam is the only crew member who has struck up a friendship with Wenlock, and the two will sometimes play chess together.

But even he can't figure out what thoughts lie behing the carefully crafted smile on Wenlock's face.

Career 3: Wenlock used to have faith in other people.

When the theater performer Desormeaux took him under his wing, he finally understood how it felt to experience kindness, and grew to love the stage.

But after his mentor's betrayal, and his estrangement from his loved ones, he came to realize that everyone in life wears a mask.

Wenlock decided that the best way to judge his audience was to stage a meticulously crafted tragedy.

Hearing their anguished sobs and shocked screams brought him a sense of tranquility and joy.

At that moment, he asked himself a question: was he willing to become tragedy personified?

Career 4: Now, in the guise of a street performer, Wenlock roams Grandis in search of people and stories he considers extraordinary.

When tragedy strikes, he does not concern himself with those who lose their lives to disaster, but how others react.

He believes that only those who observe the world with perfect detachment are able to truly realize the soul of a character and create outstanding dramatic works.

"Human reactions are at their most interesting when things don't go according to plan.

That's where true drama is born."

To Wenlock, the world is no more than an endless comedy of errors.
