Career 1: Innocent child—or secret agent?

Yu Xu gained the power of Jingwei at eight years old, and has not aged since.

Few people know her true age.

Most people who look at her see a harmless "child," unaware that she is a special agent who reports to Tangton Councilor Yu Ran.

Yu Xu knows how to use her strengths to her advantage, whether it's posing as an ignorant little girl to gather information, or taking out targets with the blade hidden up her sleeve.

Career 2 / Unusual problems.: Though her childlike appearance is of great help to her information gathering, it is the thing she dislikes about herself the most.

She envies her fellow special agent Su Jue, whose mature appearance and head-turning looks are everything that Yu Xu cannot have.

Even though they are friends, she can't help but feel a degree of enmity for Su Jue, and the two frequently trade barbs.

Career 3: Life before becoming an agent.

When she was eight years old, Yu Xu lost her parents in an accident.

Still unable to control her power, Yu Xu was labeled a threat, and taken into custody.

Five years later, she left the detention center.

As she had received no real education or training, she decided to use her appearance to her advantage, stealing jewels from rich people and selling them on the black market to support herself.

In a twist of fate, Yu Xu was caught by Yu Ran as she attempted to sneak into his house.

Seeing her potential, he invited her to join him in his efforts to make Tangton a better place for Espers.

She accepted his offer, becoming a special agent and reporting to him.

Career 4 / A brighter future.: Yu Xu was one of the first Espers to awaken in Tangton.

All these years, she has suffered under Tangton's oppressive policies of surveillance and control.

At a young age, she learned of the evil that men can do, and the greed of those at the top.

Yu Xu cast aside any belief in heroes or their stated ideals of truth, justice, and beauty.

But something about Yu Ran's strength and idealism makes him seem different from the others.

She trusts him, and has faith that everything he does will bring about a brighter future for Espers like herself.
