Anjou

Anjou is an SSR Wind character in Dragon Raja : ReRise. Anjou's role is Dps. Faction: Cassell College.

Hilbert Ron Anjou (希尔伯特·让·昂热) is the principal of Cassell College and considered by many to be the strongest living hybrid.

Initially an orphan in England, he was recruited by Manecke Cassell to join the Secret Party.

When they were attacked by the Dragon Raja, Anjou was the sole survivor and he swore to avenge his fallen friends by slaying every single dragon.

He spent most of the 20th century making the secret party grow by annexing different organizations around the world, most notably the hybrids of Japan.

He also became the principal of Cassell College.

His reckless spending and questionable administration of the school was highly criticized by members of the school board.

Anjou personally enlisted Lu Mingfei and assigned him an S-Rank.

He entrusted plenty of his allies to protect the boy through his life.

Anjou supervised the search and elimination of multiple dragons.

He requested Mingfei's assistance to defeat Norton and participated in the battle against the reborn White King.

He also managed to keep the school board and the Gattuso Family from taking away his position of power.

During Lu Mingfei's 4th year in Cassell College, he was nearly killed and put in a coma, right after fusing the School Board with the leaders of the Secret Party.

Biography

Early life

Born in Yorkshire, England, Anjou was an orphan.

His adoptive parents trained him to become a beggar, but he developed advantageous talents thanks to his nature as a hybrid.

He learned Latin and Greek without a teacher and was appreciated by the local bishop.

The bishop paid for his tuition so he could study in Cambridge University, a place that he adored due to the cultured conversations he had with other students.

He met a student named Manecke Cassell, a member of the Secret Party and the founder of the Lionheart Society.

Anjou saw Maneke as an older brother and performed missions for the party while he completed his studies.

In the year 1900, he was shot by Henkel on the back, despite Anjou using his Yanling skill, he barely survived.

In September of that year, The party found ancient remains in Xixia, China and took them back to the Cassell manor in Hamburg.

During their meeting, they started making plans to open a dragon-slayer academy named after the Cassell family.

First battle

After opening their ancient cargo, they found the dormant corpse of Li Wuyue, the younger brother of emperor Li Yuanhao.

During the autopsy of the creature, who revealed itself to be a first generation Dragon King, awakened and murdered the doctors and scientists that were studying him.

Anjou attempted to fight the creature but was knocked unconscious.

Death Servitors of the Dragon Raja unleashed a surprise attack on the Cassell manor and there were no survivors, Maneke died defeating the dragon.

The egg of the black king Nidhogg that was in possession of the family was lost that night.

Anjou burned the corpses and buried the ashes.

He fell into a coma and woke up one year later, in Munich Germany.

Conquering Japan

Anjou travelled to Pearl Harbor in 1941, where he met with Henkel to negotiate, but the meeting was interrupted by a Japanese attack on the base.

Infuriated by the events, he joined the navy and fought in the war.

He arrived in Japan in 1946 with the United States occupation forces as a navy lieutenant colonel, where he met a young Inuyama.

He saved the boy from two abusive U. S soldiers and proceeded to beat them up with a belt as punishment.

Inuyama was one of the last remaining members of the Yamata no Orochi, the heads of the Japanese hybrid society.

At the head of the families, there was Koshi Uesugi, whom Anjou defeated in a fight, humiliated, Koshi left the eight families and disappeared.

Anjou negotiated with the Uesugi elders to transform their underworld organization into a branch of the Secret Party.

During his time as the ruler of the underworld, Anjou mentored Inuyama, who never managed to meet his expectations, however, as the first house to support Anjou and the Secret Party, the Inuyama clan enjoyed great privileges, but were considered mere puppets by the rest of the families.

After returning to America, he focused on Cassell College, additionally supervising the Execution Bureau's operations outside of the campus.

He was known for his reckless spending, giving himself private vacations, organizing beauty pageants with him as the sole judge and authorizing school events like the Day of Liberty tournaments.

The S-Rank

In may 2009, Anjou personally admitted Lu Mingfei into Cassell College and assigned him an S-rank.

He called Finger Von Frings and gave him the task of watching over the young S-Rank, supporting him as much as possible.

He supervised the recovery of Constantine's embryo from the City of Bronze and personally retrieved the copper vase from Mance's arms after the entire crew died.

Anjou ordered his scientists to open the vase and dissect the dragon embryo that slept inside.

When the dragon escaped its confinement, he took Mingfei to the Night Watchman.

There, they presented him with a philosopher stone bullet and a sniper rifle, since Mingfei's blood was the only one capable of keeping up with Anjou's skill, "Time Zero".

When Mingfei identified Constantine, he hesitated for a second, but managed to come back to his senses and hit his target in the forehead.

After the young student came back from the school's mission to slay Norton, Anjou gave Mingfei some advice on how to handle his thesis and gave him a letter from his mother.

He also seemed to recognize Lu Mingze from a drawing made by Mingfei during his 3E test.

Anjou's reckless administration of Cassell's budget soon caught the attention of Frost Gattuso, head of the Gattuso family, as well as most of the school board.

During their annual meeting, they heavily questioned the principal and challenged his rule, as well as his control over Constantine's skeleton.

Anjou dismissed their accusations and switched the topic to the Nibelungen Plan, a process that would create a "super-hybrid", capable of reaching unprecedented amounts of power without destabilizing their blood.

He welcomed Caesar Gattuso into the room, who took everyone's praise for the defeat of Norton but rejected the board's invitation to be the project's subject.

Recovering the Seven Deadly Sins.

The next summer, he picked up Lu Mngfei while drunk-driving beyond the speed limit so he could support him on an auction.

Anjou's intent was to use his student to prevent other bidders from paying attention to his target: the Seven Deadly Sins, dragon slaying swords crafted by Norton.

The mission almost immediately failed when Mai Sakatoku showed up and increased the bid.

With the help of Lu Mingze, Mingfei managed to secure the swords.

On his way out, Anjou was invited by Henkel to a meeting where his family celebrated the fall of Norton.

Their young patriarch proposed that they form an alliance since the end of the dragons signaled the dawn of the age of Hybrids, "The New Dragons".

Anjou was furious at this proposal and cut the man's shirt and mustache in the blink of an eye.

On the road, Anjou told Mingfei the story of his parents and the controversy that his birth represented.

He told him about the importance of having something to live for, or more importantly, people to die for.

They caught up with Chu Zihang and Xia Mi, a new student, and they decided to tag along.

Anjou was evidently excited to hang out with a young girl, much to Mingfei's indignation.

They decided to board a rollercoaster, and on their way up they noticed that the tracks were collapsing ahead of them.

Anjou noticed Lu Mingze's attempt to negotiate with his brother for a way out and menacingly stared at the devil until he decided to leave.

Trying to solve the situation on their own, Anjou used Time Zero on his three students and gave them approximately 300 seconds, a six-second window in the real world.

They soon ran out of options and Chu Zihang activated Blood Rage, successfully saving everyone and nearly dying if not for Xia Mi's rescue.

Zihang's trial

Anjou visited Zihang at the hospital and advised him to stop his reckless use of Blood Rage as it could turn him into a Death Servitor and greatly reduce his lifespan.

After his student fell asleep, Anjou hypnotized him to gather information about his encounter with Odin.

He also took a blood sample and gave it to Flammel, who made it explode after combining it with Anjou's.

Knowing that Frost intends to use Zihang as an excuse to get him fired from his position as principal, Anjou tasks Finger with erasing all the evidence of Zihang's collateral damage in exchange for his right to graduate.

The operation works in his favor. Zihang is released from suspicion and he is free to supervise the dragon slaying mission in Beijing.

Return to Japan

The equipment department notified Anjou about the discovery of a dragon heartbeat at the bottom of the Japanese sea.

The principal ordered his three top students to investigate: Caesar, Zihang and Mingfei.

They were sent to Tokyo on his personal jet.

Following a failed mission, the Yamata no Orochi announced Tachibana's intentions to leave the secret party, leading Anjou to fly to Japan and confront the organization himself.

He was warmly welcomed and the patriarchs attempted to reason with him.

Anjou refused to grant them independence and challenged his old students to a fight.

Soon enough, he managed to defeat his old disciple, Inuyama, who died soon after protecting him from a sneak attack.

Anjou went to Shinjuku to meet Koshi to gather information on the Japanese hybrid bloodline and the Orochi families, as well as recruiting him to fight in the potential resurrection of Izanami.

During the awakening of the white king, Anjou fought Herzog's servitors side by side with Koshi and the Aces.
