Caesar

Caesar is an A-rank Wind character in Dragon Raja : ReRise. Caesar's role is Dps. Faction: Cassell College.

Caesar GattusoCaesar Gattuso (恺撒·加图索) is one of the main characters in Dragon Raja.

He is the leader of the Student Union, heir of the Gattuso family and Chen Motong's fiancé.

Born from Pompeii Gattuso and a low class woman, Caesar suffered the death of his mother at a young age.

Learning of his own family's participation in her death, he started rebelling against them, intending to achieve greatness on his own merits.

He entered Cassell College at the age of 18 and joined the Student Union, helping them to rise and become a worthy competitor to the Lionheart Society.

He fell in love with a fellow student, Chen Motong, and the two became a couple.

During his third year, he was defeated by the S-Rank freshman Lu Mingfei during the competitions of the Day of Liberty.

After helping to defend the school from a Dragon invasion, he participated in the mission to defeat Norton, where he injured the Dragon King and got mistakenly credited for its demise.

Intending to oppose his family's plan for his future, Caesar proposed to Motong that summer.

He took advantage of the school board's attempted coup to learn the Blood Rage technique.

Nono accepted his proposal and the two defended Beijing from the Kamaitachi that escaped Jörmungandr's Nibelungen.

He was sent with Lu Mingfei and his rival Chu Zihang to Japan by Cassell to investigate a potential dragon heartbeat at the bottom of the sea.

They were received and aided by the Yamata no Orochi, a hybrid underworld organization that also functioned as the Japanese division of Cassell College, led by Gen Chisei.

After the Orochi betrayed the Secret Party, Caesar and his squad were abandoned at the bottom of the sea and barely survived the awakening of a corpse army.

The trio became fugitives, hunted down by every hybrid organization in Japan.

They were aided by a local waiter named Asou Makoto, who died after getting involved in a firefight.

Unable to save her, Caesar was humbled by the experience, and decided to stop relying solely on his bloodline to become a better leader.

The three took refuge as hosts at a night club and sneaked out to investigate the Yamata no Orochi and uncover their secrets.

They attempted to reunite the Gen brothers to end the war and get Uesugi Erii out of the country.

when both plans failed, they defended the world from Herzog's transformation into the new White King.

After returning to America, Caesar Lu Mingfei and Chu Zihang made an oath to discover the conspirators behind Herzog's actions.

Caesar became a more mature leader, he graduated and inherited the presidency of the Student Union to Lu Mingfei.

Due to his engagement with Nono, she was asked to drop out of Cassell by his family and go through bridal training in Greece.

Two years later, when Chu Zihang vanished from the memories of the whole world, Caesar became the representative of the Gattuso Family in the School Board after the death of his uncle Frost and commanded the search for Mingfei and Nono after they became fugitives.

Personality and traits

Caesar is described as attractive, tall and muscular.

Mingfei once noted that his chest was "as hard as a rock".

He has long blond hair and blue eyes, with Italian features.

Caesar enjoys great popularity, even achieving his own harem at the school.

Despite his disdain for his family, Caesar greatly appreciates his status and holds himself in high regard.

He draws a lot of confidence form his superior bloodline and considers that he is only worthy of the best the world can offer.

In Cassell he was trained in hand-to-hand combat, he was proficient in firearms with special predilection for sword fights.

He inherited the Student Union's iconic weapons: a pair of Desert Eagles.

He also used a black embroiled hunting knife called "Dictator".

In addition to Italian, Caesar was fluent in Chinese, English, French and Spanish.

Biography

Early age

Born from the Gattuso's "stallion" Pompeii and a lower-class hybrid named Gullveig, Caesar's blood displayed an unexpected potential and eventually he was selected as the prime heir in the family's line of succession.

He was named after Julius Caesar, the Roman emperor.

From a young age, he developed a close relationship with his mother, which was rare among hybrids.

Gullveig's health slowly deteriorated after contracting a rare disease.

In her last days, she could no longer see nor hear.

Caesar mourned her greatly, and his family paid for a luxurious funeral.

While he lamented his loss, he realized the rest of the Gattusos were celebrating at a different location.

Using his Yanling skill, which increased his hearing, he discovered that they were the ones behind Gullveig's death.

Unwilling to allow their heir to depend emotionally on a woman with "lesser blood", they slowly poisoned her to fake a terminal illness.

Devastated and furious, he decided to rebel against them, burning his mother's coffin and the church along with it, before driving away in his motorcycle.

The family attempted to deny their involvement and pampered him with money and luxuries.

Gullveig was a faithful catholic, telling Caesar that she'd always watch over him from heaven.

Caesar followed in her steps, always in his best behavior, as he was afraid of disappointing his late mother.

When he was twelve, he wanted a PlayStation 3, but his caretakers wanted him to practice other activities like horse riding.

Caesar had to bribe his instructor in order to play video games, hiding the console under his bed at night.

One day, the cleaning lady found the device and his butler smashed it in front of him.

To retaliate, Caesar ordered two hundred consoles and gave the butler an axe, for each one that he destroyed, Caesar unboxed another.

In the end, the man was so angry that Caesar's family found him emotionally unstable and fired him.

The new butler allowed Caesar to play for two hours a day as long as he attended his horse riding lessons.

Cassell College

Caesar decided to join Cassell College by his own merits and achieve greatness of his own, rather than relying on his uncle Frost, who was a member of the school board.

He received an "A" Rank and joined the Student Union, a weak association that lived in the shadow of the prestigious Lionheart Society, led by his future rival Chu Zihang.

Using his family's fortune and his own strength and determination, Caesar helped the Student Union to rise from the bottom, integrating most of the college's other clubs and associations.

Soon after, he was unanimously elected as president.

One of its members was a female student named Chen Motong (nicknamed Nono).

She was the rarest among the A-Ranks and Caesar was immediately fascinated by her.

One rainy night she drove a convertible around the dormitory and shouted an invitation to whoever wanted to visit Chicago with her.

Caesar fell in love with her on the spot, so he jumped from the third floor and shot one of his Desert Eagles at the sky to scare the other students from getting ahead of him.

The pair was immediately surrounded by armed agents of the Gear Department, and they took the pair to get scolded by Professor Manstein.

After that, he mobilized the CC1000 train with his A-Rank privileges and they went to Chicago together, but the bar that Nono wanted to visit was closed.

They instead spent the evening talking by the lake.

Nono considered Caesar to be the only student worthy of her and accepted his feelings, despite feeling replaceable by any potential new student who could outrank her blood.

Caesar was irresponsible and a terrible student.

He often threw expensive parties and organized problematic events.

On one occasion, he filled the Olympic pool of the college's gym with beer (since Champagne was too expensive).

He started a winter swimming competition in it but it came to a halt when a chemical reaction with the cold temperatures caused the alcohol-filled water to break the pool.

Despite all of this, his performance in the Execution Bureau's operations guaranteed Caesar his right to stay in the college as one of its top students.

The S-Rank

At the beginning of his third school year, Caesar and the rest of the students celebrated the annual Day of Liberty with a free-for-all close combat competition, in which he and Zihang, along with Nono and Susie, were the last ones standing.

Caesar announced that anyone who managed to defeat him and win the event would receive his car, a Bugatti Veyron, as a reward.

While he and Zihang taunted each other, Caesar dropped most of his equipment except for his beloved sword, the "Dictator".

He engaged Zihang in a sword fight, both moving too fast for the untrained eye to see.

After Susie shot Nono in the back with Frigg Bullets (which were merely sedatives that simulated blood) a raging unknown student, believing Nono to be genuinely dead, shot Caesar, Zihang and Susie, effectively winning the match.

The freshman was none other than Lu Mingfei, the College's first S-Rank student in decades.

Caesar, along with the rest of the participants were scolded by Professor Manstein for the alarming costs of their competition's resulting damages.

Since they lost the match, Caesar and the Student Union were obligated to leave their residence, the Amber Hall.

Hoping for Mingfei's rank to lower after taking his 3E exam, he waited eagerly for the results.

In the end, Mingfei kept his "S" status intact.

Attack on Cassell

Supporting the execution bureau

During the execution bureau's mission to the City of Bronze, two agents got trapped in the ruins.

Caesar, along with most of the top students were called to the bureau's control room to offer assistance in finding an exit.

Lu Mingfei found the exit with the help of Lu Mingze.

After the assignment was over, Chu Zihang asked the newly enrolled S-Rank to join the Lionheart Society.

Seeing this, Caesar decided to make his own move to recruit Lu Mingfei.

The Dance

Since Nono used to keep her birthday a secret, Caesar decided to check the school records to learn her birth date.

He held a dance as a birthday celebration for her, while telling the attendees it was a freshmen welcome dance to keep her secret safe.

Nono sent Lu Mingfei an invitation letter and he brought Finger along.

After the guests finished a dance number, Caesar gave a speech, congratulating everyone who was present for being the best among the best and formally inviting them to join the Student Union.

He then asked Mingfei individually if he would like to join him.

Before he could give an answer, every cellphone in the hall started ringing.

On the other side of the phone, a mercenary announced an attack on the school.

Defending the college

Caesar, along with other trained members of the Student Union, guarded the hall of heroes, where an intruder named Sakatoku Mai and her mercenaries took all of them down except for Caesar.

He noticed they used Frigg bullets instead of regular ammunition to avoid hurting any students.

He asked Norma to turn off the lights and used his Yanling skill, the "Kamaitachi", to get rid of Mai's accomplices by relying on his increased hearing.

The pair started taunting each other and Mai bragged about Deadpan's impending attack on the school church.

Caesar kept his earpiece running and transmitting to the other students, which allowed Zihang to anticipate the attack on the church.

After both of them failed to defeat each other using guns, they resorted to sword-fighting instead.

Mai's earring produced a nearly inaudible hum that was capable of confusing Caesar's hearing, making him feel like he was fighting dozens of adversaries.

Facing Constantine

Their fight was interrupted by the sudden arrival of Nono, Mingfei, Finger and Old Tang.

They explained that they were running away from a humanoid creature.

Mai received instructions from a team member, who explained that Frigg bullets would be enough to hold the creature back.

Caesar asked Nono to get away from danger and promised her a birthday gift (his personal diary and the first copy of a book he wrote, dedicated to her along with wine and scented candles).

After his girlfriend left, he and Mai confronted Constantine and managed to repel him.

Moments later, Anjou and Lu Mingfei put the creature down, not before it managed to unlock Old Tang's memories as the dragon king Norton.

Operation Bronze

Two months after the attack, Caesar was selected among other students of the Union to go on a mission to slay Norton.

After their arrival at the Three Gorges Dam, Caesar was asked to help Professor Manstein.

The plan was simple: Lu Mingfei and Nono would dive deep into the city of bronze, locate Norton's embryo and detonate a bomb to wake him up.

After the the explosion, the ship they were boarding would launch a torpedo that would finally put the Dragon King down.

After activating the bomb, Mingfei and Nono attempted to leave but couldn't find a way out.

Manstein tried to help them using his Yanling skill "Void Snakes" but he lost consciousness after making an overwhelming effort.

Finger hacked into their communications signal and aided the pair with Norma's help.

Leading the mission

With Manstein unconscious, Caesar took command and ordered all the students to get the torpedo ready.

Suddenly, the ship was heavily damaged by a mysterious impact.

Instead of going to sleep to hatch in a new body, Norton decided to fuse himself with Samson, a gigantic dragon servitor.

Caesar was forced to improvise and ordered everyone to repurpose the damaged torpedo as an air projectile.

Using the Schythe Ferrets to increase his hearing and blindfolding himself, he took a rifle and started firing at the dragon king to get his attention.

Zero warned him about the danger of permanently losing his hearing when the torpedo launched but he ordered her to fire anyway.

The projectile hit its target dead center.

When Nono and Mingfei boarded the diving bell, the retrieving mechanisms failed.
