Diene is a 5-star Ice character in Epic Seven. Faction: Ezera - Royal Castle.

On our Epic Seven tier list Diene is S tier, 6th of the 311 characters ranked, from where 10 current tier lists put Diene.

By game mode, Diene is A in PvE and B in PvP.

Diene keeps buffs running long enough to matter, clearing every debuff off the party with Skill 3 while adding Defense Up and Piercing Resistance for a few turns. Skill 2 covers the offensive side, buffing the whole team's Attack, adding a Shield, and pushing everyone's Action Gauge forward.

Since literally every skill in her kit speeds the team up, she's useful in both PvP and PvE, which is enough for S tier.

Diene, Saint of Ezera, received the Goddess's divine revelation and fearlessly led the world to victory against the Archdemon, even without the Heir of the Covenant.

Later, she became Ezera's Queen.

Magical Girl: This story is about one iteration of the Archdemon War where Diene becomes a Magical Girl.

With her Magical Fist imbued with the Goddess's love and protection, she punishes all evil.

Lore

Diene presence is instead felt through the way other characters remember her.

At the start of Orbis Gladiatorium - Preliminaries, Aither reflects on how amazing his mother was for enduring long Continental Alliance conferences, and Charles tells him that Her Late Majesty Diene would surely be watching proudly as he grows into his role as King of Ezera and head of the alliance.

Diene is also invoked in Schniel’s letter to Adventurer Ras.

There, Schniel says that the people of Orbis are united “just like the time when Queen Diene and the Heirs were able to fend off the Archdemon,” using her as a symbol of collective resistance and as part of the reason he believes Orbis can stand together again against future extraterrestrial threats.

Her memory remains especially important to Charles.

In the Ezera preliminaries, he reflects that twenty years have already passed since the desperate time before Ras awakened, directly addressing “Lady Diene” in his thoughts.

After his match with Ras, Charles explains that when all hope seemed lost, Diene’s words gave him the strength to raise his sword again, and he ties his own will to protect peace to the hope she inspired in him and others during the Archdemon War.

In these stories, Diene functions only as a remembered figure whose example continues to shape the convictions of those still fighting to protect Orbis.
