Background
A genius holding the power of inferno in his hands after swearing a contract with Malicus, the Lord of Fire, Dingo became a chef to make full use of his abilities.
He sees all living creatures as potential ingredients.
Lore
Dingo’s direct role comes from Orbis Gladiatorium - Preliminaries.
He first appears at the Wild Dog Company headquarters after learning that Jenua plans to enter the Orbis Gladiatorium, reacting with surprise and immediately joining the lively argument with Cidd.
In that scene, Dingo is tied to the group’s more chaotic side: Cidd complains that he had been off with a beaver again, while Dingo insists that the animal is useful, says it has already finished its disinfection procedures, and treats it as practically family.
Jenua’s response makes clear that Dingo is exactly the sort of person who would smuggle a beaver all the way from the harbor just to keep it from being sent back.
Dingo is also shown as deeply attentive to Jenua in his own eccentric way.
He confidently tells his captain not to worry because one of his “specialty dishes” will give him enough energy to dominate the Gladiatorium, and when Cidd objects that this is the very problem, Dingo doubles down by saying he would still cook for Jenua no matter what he was.
These exchanges present Dingo as affectionate, overenthusiastic, and completely unbothered by whether others think his help is a good idea.
Later, during the Wetheric Moor preliminary final between Jenua and Adventurer Ras, Dingo appears among Jenua’s supporters and loudly cheers him on, even reminding him that he had eaten Dingo’s special dish and should hold out to the end.
After the match, he celebrates Jenua again from the sidelines, reinforcing his role as one of the captain’s most spirited backers.
Mercedes later identifies Jenua as the captain that Cidd and Dingo are always talking about, which further frames Dingo as a close and familiar part of Jenua’s circle.
Overall, Orbis Gladiatorium portrays Dingo as a lively supporting character whose main role is to add warmth and comic energy to Jenua’s group while showing genuine loyalty to his captain.
