APPLe, the first character you get for free, is a 4-star Star unit that mixes damage with healing: his skill and ultimate hit while healing the lowest-HP ally, and he heals passively without spending actions. It's worth taking him to Insight I early for the missions that refund the materials.

He's cheap and flexible, but doesn't heal as well as real healers or hit hard enough to matter in boss fights, and he's fragile.
