Agnes builds up an Overheat stack every time she uses her first basic skill, and that skill changes shape as the stacks grow, eventually dumping the whole stack into one big hit. Her core attack and second basic skill layer on a separate debuff, Bersaglio, that makes her first skill hit even harder, so her rotation is built around setting that up before cashing in Overheat.

She also plugs into the Dark Overload burst system, banking bonus damage during a boss's overload window that she can cash in through her burst skill.

Dossier #01: The Crimson Reign

In the dark underbelly of Sicily...

Agnes Rivera was born into a world consumed by gunfire and violence.

The only daughter of the Rivera Family, rulers of the backstreets, Agnes grew up believing that standing above others and controlling them was as natural as breathing.

One elegant wave of Agnes's hand could decide the fate of entire territories and human lives as casually as if she had been turning a page.

behind her stood devoted followers who survived countless brushes with death, steadfastly following her every move like her own shadow.

She had allies, and one other person, Dante Grossi, Agnes's little playmate.

He was given to the Rivera family as collateral to settle his parents' debts, and they nearly killed him.

But after his debt-ridden progenitors perished, he remained by Agnes's side, growing up beside her like a friend and receiving a private education.

Later, under Agnes's permissive rule, Dante became a doctor and eventually, her personal physican.

There was something strange about the relationship between Dante and Agnes.

They lacked the warmth to be lovers, yet Dante's devotion was too painfully absolute to be called mere friendship.

From a distance, it looked like loyalty to a fault.

That was the apparent nature of their relationship.

Dossier #02: Deceit and Detonation

Then came the grand opening ceremony for a massive shopping mall funded by the immense wealth of the Rivera Family.

It was dazzling.

Watching the ceremony unfold with relaxed composure among the crowds and below bursts of fireworks, Agnes's eyes fixed on a single figure.

There stood an unexpected guest... Dante.

The very moment her gaze met his, he stood stark still.

His clothing was far too unfamiliar.

A deafening roar tore through the air as a horrific explosion swallowed the banquet hall.

At the same time, people who had been perfectly normal moments ago suddenly began attacking one another.

Even within that chaos, Agnes never took her eyes of Dante.

"That isn't Dante Grossi."

"I don't care who that is, Agnes. Please, we need to get out of here!"

"Damn it, that's... that's not Dante!!!"

Amid the hellish chaos, Dante vanished like smoke.

At the same time, the vaults of Essence Stones purchased for the building's facilities, along with the artifacts and weapons that had been meant for sale in the shopping mall, disappeared without a trace.

The overwhelming betrayal consumed Agnes.

For an entire year, she looked for Dante everywhere.

But he was nowhere to be found, As though she had never existed in the first place'.

Dossier #03: A Birthday Dyed Red

Time passed, and eventually it was Agnes's birthday.

But Agnes was in no mood to celebrate. Unable to sleep properly, she wasted her days inside the pharmacy Dante once ran.

In the end, Agnes's friends gave up and gathered inside the darkened pharmacy to celebrate her birthday there.

Then, with a brief knock at the door, the same uninvited guest arrived.

"Hi, Agnes."

It was Dante Grossi. In his arms rested an extravagant bouquet and a bottle of Agnes's favorite wine.

But the moment Agnes reached toward him, she was met with a suffocating cloud of toxic green smoke.

"Dante... you were a hunter?"

Unable to endure the toxin, her friends collapsed one by one and crawled helplessly across the floor.

"Working behind your back was surprisingly enjoyable."

"You always treated me like your pet. Honestly, I clung to that kindness for far too long, thinking 'just a little longer, just a little more..."

"I enjoyed that kindness so much that I hesitated to kill you."

Dante smiled faintly. And before there was a chance to evade, the icy, sharp blade in his hand carved brutally across Agnes's slender neck.

Dossier #04: The Ebon Mist

Crimson blood burst like a fountain from the gape in her throat.

In that desperate instant, the cold shadow of death darkened her vision.

Agnes's fading vision suddenly flashed with a strange yet intense silver light.

Across the pharmacy floor, black mist began to spread.

Slowly, yet unmistakably, the black mist pushed back Dante's green smoke.

"Could this be... an awakening?"

Caught off guard by Agnes's newfound power, Dante was subdued in an instant.

Agnes forced him to his knees on the floor.

"Tell me, why did you betray me?"

"...I knew it. You even look more beautiful above me."

"Answer me! Who's helping you?"

"Your awakening was something I never accounted for..."

"Answer me, Dante Grossi. What was your goal?"

Dante silently cast his gaze downward.

"To destroy the Rivera Family. And you're all that's left."

Dossier #05: The Final Act of a Wounded Dog

What Dante told her next was unbearably cruel.

After his parents met a miserable end under debts they could never repay, the Rivera Family even exploited their final resting place for profit.

Not long after, Dante awakened. He was only fifteen years old, around the same age Agnes had even when she had been worried over her classical literature grade.

When the Rivera Family learned that Dante awakened, they used his powers for the Family's dirty work.

Young Agnes hadn't heard a single thing about it.

Agnes was so overwhelmed by the truth that she could barely remain on her feet.

"...Kill ne now, Agnes. At this point, I can no longer help 'him'."

The moment the words left his mouth, his body began to tremble.

From Dante's mouth came a growth that sounded as though something were clawing its way up his throat.

He sounded just like a "magic beast".

Yet Agnes couldn't force herself to drive the blade into his neck.

Dante, as if he understood her hesitation, reached up and grasped the blade himself.

"Not once in all the time I stood beside you did I ever love you...

I devoted my entire life to hating you, Agnes Rivera."

In one swift motion, he pulled Agnes's hand toward himself.

The blade drove deep into his neck, and even as an animalistic cry escaped him, Dante pulled Agnes tightly into his gentle embrace.

Agnes couldn't even push him away. She though "I would feel the same way, even if he had driven his knife through my neck instead."

Dossier #06: Fresh Prey

Dante Grossi was buried behind Agnes's estate, in a small corner of the family graveyard.

Agnes dug the earth herself and laid him to rest upon a patch of ground without even a gravestone.

And where the grave marker should've stood, she placed the bottle of wine he had bought her.

The wound Dante left across her neck became a permanent scar.

But Agnes refused to have it surgically removed or diminished.

To her, it was her foremost sin, as debt, and the reason she had to keep living.

Agnes openly revealed her awakening as a hunter to the world.

And with that, she began the enormous task of transforming a crime family into an official guild.

Determined to ensure that no one would ever suffer the same unjust fate as Dante, she relentlessly carved out the organization's corruption from its very roots.

"...Dante said 'him'."

Behind Agnes, the family looked on with glimmering eyes.

Dante Grossi was a traitor, but he had also been her dearest friend.

His fate was her responsibility. So the ending had to be carried out by her own hands.

An eye for an eye was the only life Agnes Rivera had ever known.

"The Rivera Guild will find whoever was puppeting my Dante Grossifrom the shadows."

It was time to go hunting.
