Lim Tae-Gyu alternates between his first basic skill and his core attack once the former triggers the latter, keeping a steady attack rhythm going, while his second basic skill is reserved for a big Break hit.

His ultimate also enhances his basic attack for extra damage. He's a solid Break-focused pick that benefits from break-oriented armor.

Dossier #01: Enjoying What You Do

"The one who was born in a genius can't win against the one who tries, and the one who tries can't win against the one who enjoys."

Lim Tae-Gyu loves that quote.

He knew he wasn't naturally gifted. But he believed he enjoyed tennis more than anyone, and that's why he was able to succeed.

In order to face any opponent and truly enjoy the game, you must be backed by skill.

His relaxed expression on the court was a result of him being prepared for anything that could come his way.

It was sometimes a misunderstanding for conceit, but it didn't bother him.

Enjoying the game and being satisfied with the results.

As a player, these were the only two things that mattered to him.

Dossier #02: Unwelcome Change

The moment his life changed was when the gate came to be.

He was able to detect the mana flowing around him, and was able to use it.

At first, he thought nothing of it.

But soon, he realized the ability to use mana was a unique and special power.

However, he didn't fully welcome this special power.

Other people lacked such abilities, which prevented him from truly enjoying every game on the court.

All of his games ended in his victory, which made it impossible for him to enjoy the tension of the game.

His power was special, but it was inappropriate in a sporting environment where fairness was important.

Dossier #03: A New Pleasure

No longer able to enjoy normal sports, Lim Tae-Gyu had to look for ways to use his power.

Other people in similar situations were using their power to stand against monsters.

He knew that if the path you need to take is blocked, you shouldn't stop and give up, but create a new path.

During his first battle after making his decision, he realized he had made the right decision.

Battling with monsters was just as enjoyable as smacking back a rubber green ball towards an opponent.

Dossier #04: Becoming a Hero

Hunters that appeared when there was an absence of an organized system gained incredible popularity.

Lim Tae-Gyu was one of them.

Hiss keen attacks always pierced the enemy's head, and all magic beasts he targeted lost their lives.

His reputation grew, with people saying he could kill ten magic beasts with a single arrow.

He tried his best to live up to those expectations.

Of course, he still believed that "the one who enjoys can overcome the one who was born a genius."

Having to respond with impromptu methods to ever-changing circumstances wasn't a big problem for someone who was used to balls constantly flying towards him on the court.

When he was running the guild he'd set up with like-minded colleagues and when he was called in to help with an S-Rank gate that occurred in Jeju Island, he never abandoned his desire to enjoy what he did.

Dossier #05: Harsh Reality

But the death of a close colleague was a major awakening for him.

He could no longer enjoy battle.

His colleague had lost his life due to a moment of carelessness.

Unlike a sports match, there was no coming back from certain mistakes.

It was excruciating to know that it took his colleague's death to realize this truth.

But the regrets of living can't bring back the dead, so Lim Tae-Gyu got a hold of himself.

Battle with magic beasts no longer felt like a heart-pounding game to him.

The many lives and deaths on his shoulders always whispered to him.
