Dossier #01: The Source of Evil

Are demons born or created?

Kang Taeshik had been torturing small insects and animals since he was a very young child, as far back as he can remember.

He didn't understand why his family joked about how mischievous he was when he was young.

Why was torturing living things considered mischievous?

Something happened as Kang Taeshik's memories became more clear as time passed.

He was no longer a child who could shrug off such behavior as a mischievous joke.

Kang Taeshik became more cruel and harsh.

He tortured living things and then gave them what he called a "Death called rest."

He considered this process a sacred ritual.

And he was so careful that no one caught him.

Dossier #02: Holy Ceremony

There was no rhyme or reason to Kang Taeshik's cruel hobby.

He was merely entertained by the cries of fear from his victims as they hopelessly struggled in the face of their imminent death.

Every time his ritual's thrills started to dull, he looked for a target that was more stimulating.

However, even when he found a new target, he was bound to get tired of them.

A life without excitement was boring.

The ultimate goal for him, like others with similar habits, would be humans.

The moment Kang Taeshik realized that fact, he immediately searched for such a target without hesitation.

And finally, he decided on a new target.

Dossier #03: A New Target

It was time.

The task of following the target's movements and observing their daily life was over.

It was time to hunt.

Kang Taeshik followed the target quietly.

What he had longed for was just moments away.

But at that moment, his target disappeared before his eyes.

What swallowed his target was a cerulean vortex.

Kang Taeshik suddenly recalled the mysterious blue gates that appeared all over the world.

He'd heard that the gates were a very dangerous place that only certain people could enter, and if they didn't get out in time, they'd go missing.

Kang Taeshik's purple eyes lit up.

"Maybe I..."

Kang Taeshik carefully stepped into the gate in front of him.

Luckily, the gate accepted him without any issues.

As he headed towards the sounds of commotion, he saw the target he'd chosen killing a magic beast.

His target moved pretty clumsily, but the magic beasts fell as if it was their predestined fate.

Dossier #04: His Symphony

"It's as if this were a stage that was perfectly prepared for me."

The moment the target noticed Kang Taeshik, they gave him a puzzled look.

Then, Kang Taeshik stabbed the target's body with a dagger he'd prepared in advance.

The target collapsed helplessly, and Kang Taeshik gave the target the rest he always did.

Very slow and quiet.

He exited the dungeon effortlessly, while holding a shiny stone with an unknown symbol engraved on it that the target was carrying.

Four years later, Kang Taeshik easily joined the Hunters Association founded by Go Gunhee.

The people around him spoke highly of him for taking on all the work that required them to go out to the field.

In fact, they didn't pay much attention to the fact that there were strangely very few survivors at the sites he'd been dispatched to.

Thanks to this, Kang Taeshik was able to continue his hunter hunting without any problems.

Until he met Sung Jinwoo.
