Illusion Connect: Re story ยท Dates
Eileen's dates
3 scenes, 139 lines
1. Date 1
41 lines(Although Eileen agreed to go on a date with you, Eileen seemed to have something else she wanted to say to you in private. However, she is nowhere to be found at the date location.)
(You look around confused before Eileen jumps out to surprise you. Her camera is geared at your face.)
Woah! I scared you, didn't I?
Woah, you really got me there!
(You look at her, unmoved.)
Hah, now I have your first photo of the day! I wonder how much I could sell this for...
I guess you've noticed me for a while, huh? Aw, I thought I could get a photo of you looking all surprised.
It's not what I had hoped for, but I'm still glad I got your first photo of the day.
Let me see... My camera's memory is full, but I don't want to delete any of the other photos either.
What did you want me to help you with?
What photos are they of?
Don't rush me, let me see how to clear my storage... Uh oh! I forgot something important! Thanks for reminding me!
I needed to- Oh, I forgot!
(Eileen drags and hurries you in front of a store without explanation.)
(The store seems to sell chocolate, and is crowded with people.)
There are so many people here. Should we go somewhere else?
You want chocolate?
No, I brought you here for you to help me. This is the most famous chocolate in all of Bloomsea City!
That's Leader for you! This is the most famous chocolate in all of Bloomsea City! You've heard of it before, right?
You need to join in a lotto to have a chance to try the new Holmes line of chocolate. There are only five boxes a day, and although I think I can get one, each person can only buy one.
I want to buy an extra box to give to Charlotte, so I asked you to tag along. Please help me, Leader! Thank you!
(Eileen can never seem to say anything without mentioning Charlotte. Of course the date also has to be about her.)
This is our date, remember?
I want to see you two happy together.
Huh? Oh, I'm sorry, I keep mentioning Charlotte... Will you help? Yay, thank you, Leader!
If you want, I'll greet you with a biiiig smile every day from now on!
(You wait in line for the lottery. And after a while, a store employee starts reading off the winning numbers. The first three numbers go by.)
No! Is my good luck finally failing me? Not now!
(Just as Eileen finishes her complaint, the employee reads out your number.)
Gaaaaah! You did it, Leader!
(The employee reads out the final number, matching the number in Eileen's hand. Eileen jumps with joy.)
Yaaaay! We did it!
(Eileen purchases the chocolate and greedily lunges for the box in your hands.)
Come on, I need a reward for this.
Go ahead, take it.
Do you think I would ask for help from a friend with nothing in return? Wait a second!
Well, thank you, Leader! Oh, that reminds me, I have a gift for you as well!
(As Eileen says "Ta-da", she grabs out a ticket from her bag...)
(It is the ticket of the sold-out movie, The Bloomsea Dispatch.)
Do you like it? Alright then. This was even harder to get than the chocolate. Consider it a reward for your hard work, Leader.
Well, it's getting late. Thanks for everything today. I should be going now!
2. Date 2
49 lines(You ask Eileen to go to the library to do research with you. Time flies, and before you realize it, the sun has set.)
(The librarian accidentally locks you two inside the library for the night.)
I guess we can only wait until the librarian unlocks the gates tomorrow. It's going to be so boring!
How about we play a game?
Go to sleep. I'll keep watch.
You brought a game console? I didn't notice you bringing any. Oh, you mean like quizzes? Those are the best for killing time!
Well, thank you, Leader! I am getting a bit tired after reading for so long. Yawn!
That's still boring. Huh? Are those... quizzes in your backpack? Want to do them together?
(The quiz booklets are taken out. They look familiar...)
(Right, Anna has mentioned this before! It's called 36 Questions for Strangers to Quickly Know Each Other.)
(Well, it's not like there's anything else to do. Might as well try them.)
(First question, if you could choose anyone in the world, who would you like to have dinner with?)
With Eileen.
With everyone at Muscipula.
Me, as your first choice? I'm touched!
In that case, I'll choose you as well! Let's get dinner together once we get out of here.
Muscipula is like family to you, isn't that right?
A home isn't about how big your house is or how much money you have. Home is where family is.
It could be a team, it could be a detective agency... How nice.
I think I'm going a bit off-topic... Alright, time for the next question.
(The next question asks, "What does a perfect day mean to you?")
Buying chocolate with you last time was a perfect day.
Haha, yeah, but I sucked that day. It was supposed to be a date with you, but I kept mentioning Charlotte.
Sorry about that, Leader. Although, well, I didn't actually want to buy chocolates that day.
I just wanted an excuse to go out with you. I'd do anything as long as it was with you.
It's my pleasure.
Why me?
Is that purely out of politeness? Or... OK, I got it, stop glaring at me.
By the way, you don't look intimidating with that stare at all. You look more like a little animal!
What? Leader! Don't you remember how you used to act all cool and stuff?
Remember from back then? You stood in front of me, saying "are you using my family as bait?"
You were so cool! Don't you have any self-awareness of that?
(Third question, "What are you the most grateful for in life?")
Meeting Eileen.
Gaining the Elementium Lens.
Hey, I feel the same way... I'm grateful for myself too! Hah!
I'm just joking. I feel like our conversation is getting too heavy, and I want to lighten up the mood a bit.
I'm honored that you feel grateful for meeting me.
Yeah, that was lucky. After all, the Elementium Lens is such a rare- What's that? It's not because of that?
You're grateful because now you have the power to protect everyone and make the world a better place?
That's Leader for you. I'll help you in your ambitions!
As for me, it's difficult to say what I'm most grateful for. I used to think that people like that didn't exist...
The kind of person that would make me think, you know, "when they appear, every cell in my body will scream, yeah, that's the one!"
But when I really met someone like that, I thanked the universe from my heart that they appeared in my life...
Who is it?
Is it me?
The time will come when I will tell you.
I don't want to tell you yet! But you really are important to me, Leader. Very important.
(As the night goes on, Eileen and you fall asleep on each others' shoulders.)
3. Date 3
49 lines(You ask Eileen out to go check out a fun place you found the other day.)
(You didn't tell Eileen exactly where you were going over the phone, except that it was a surprise.)
(Soon, you see her rushing towards you from the distance.)
Where are we going? Where are we going? Is it a big news story?
It's not a news story.
It's better than a news story.
Aww... I thought someone as adventurous as you had gotten your hands on a rare scoop...
Alright, well, since it's you, I'm willing to hear what other surprises you may have in store for me.
What could possibly be better than a news story? Is this a prank, Leader?
Well, I trust you, just this once.
(You suddenly cover up Eileen's eyes.)
H-Huh? Leader? What's going on?
It's for the big reveal.
(Laugh without answering.)
Leader, I can't take it anymore! I'm too curious! What's the big surprise?
Come on, Leader! This is getting a little suspicious! I'm suspicious of what this surprise is going to be!
(Covering Eileen's eyes as you walk, you board a giant hot air balloon.)
(The hot air balloon begins to ascend and soars high above the clouds. The entirety of Bloomsea City is beneath you.)
(Nudge Eileen to the edge of the railing.)
(Reveal where she is directly.)
So there's the sound of wind, and I'm losing my sense of weight... Are we in the air, Leader?
(You move your hands away, and Eileen screams with delight at the view as she raises her camera.)
(Seeing the view, Eileen screams with delight and rushes to the edge of the hot-air balloon.)
Woah! It's so beautiful! I've never seen Bloomsea City from this view before!
It's like I'm a bird, taking in all of Bloomsea City in my mind's eye...
Well, my mind isn't enough! Time for my camera to get to work!
(Eileen excitedly begins to snap photos with her camera. She bobs up and down, dancing excitedly.)
(She's almost like an overexcited bird, jumping for joy.)
Hey, you let your guard down!
(Eileen flashes the camera at you as she grins wildly.)
Just take pictures of the scenery.
Alright, you got me.
Come on, the view is incredible, yeah, and you the one who brought me here, Leader...
But still, it's more important for me to get your first photo of the day!
It's hard to get a photo of you that shows your other side.
It's my greatest challenge as a reporter!
However, I have to thank you for letting me take a photo of you!
Once I get back, I'm going to print a couple hundred copies. With this great view in the back and you in the front, the profit is going to be astronomical!
(The sun begins to set, and the hot-air balloon slowly descends back to the ground. Eileen hops off the platform before it lands completely.)
(There's some distance from the hot-air balloon and the ground, so Eileen yells from below.)
Leader! Thanks for the surprise! And thanks for finding me a good photo spot!
I really love, you know, the surprise and stuff...
Oh, and I'll hold on to your photo! I wasn't planning on selling it!
What'd you say? I can't hear you!
(Try to exchange photos with Eileen.)
(Eileen shakes her head and waves goodbye.)
(Well then, might as well ask for some photos of Eileen.)
Next time, when I get the chance! I promise!
(Eileen makes a face at you and speeds off without saying another word.)
