Even the Quarry now...

*Gasp* E-Endmin? Apologies, I was lost in my thought...

I'm Thurston, currently assisting the Hub Base in assessing safety conditions in Valley IV.

Thurston

I was investigating nearby Landbreaker movements when I ... stumbled upon this place.

I can't be sure yet. None of their usual gathering spot junk nearby ... these guys must've arrived recently too.

The Hub base didn't receive any after-action reports from the Security Division or the UWST. So who exactly took out these Landbreakers here?

And they left the place in this state...

Understood. We still need to find a way inside.

Are you the operator in charge?

Who? Landbreakers?

It's my first time seeing Landbreakers at the Quarry.

What are they doing here?

Let's start with the scene investigation.

Even the Quarry now...

Endmin? I'm still drawing blanks here. You've perfect timing!

No intrusion alarm records here, and none of the usual Landbreaker camp junk nearby. They must've just arrived.

Must be the high voltage fence setting something on fire... *Sigh* let's move the bodies first.

Another attack site?

...Do you smell something burning?

Huh? Isn't this "Will-o-Wisp" Vichir?

He's a dangerous individual kept on SOW's watchlist. He's a real expert among the Bonekrushers.

"Will-o-Wisp" was extremely experienced, always ready to use secret techniques to reposition himself ... elusive like actual ghost fire.

No one ever managed to catch him before. Can't believe he'd be taken down here.

These secret techniques of their clan might be miraculous, but the price of failure is steep.

You're right. Let me document "Will-o-Wisp's" injuries first.

You know him?

Is he famous?

Doesn't sound like an easy thing to pull off.

Could also be they were specifically targeted.

That's probably all the information we can gather from the scene.

The defense systems were shut down before the Landbreakers even arrived.

I just checked the logs. The worker assigned to maintain this area was indeed a woman... She was likely the murder victim.

System intrusion, identity disguise, target ambush... This was likely a premeditated operation.

Never thought this place could actually stop him... Bonekrusher Pyromancers' arts have always been mysterious. We still don't understand how they work.

The defense systems rebooted mid-fight. Probably turned this place into a cage right then.

Whoever carried this out definitely knows "Will-o-Wisp" better than we do.

They seemed to want to use the depot here to stash weapons. But the Bonekrushers already has arms. Why hide more?

Or ... the weapons aren't theirs to begin with. Could there be even more?

Plus, these Landbreakers were vetting people, excluding some from joining. Smells like an operation even their own allies can't be trusted with.

Regardless, this plan ultimately failed.

True enough. *Sigh*, it's a shame we couldn't save that worker.

I need to patrol the area once more ... and also report this to the UWST.

If I find anything else, I'll notify you immediately.

Your choice

This was a premeditated ambush.

"Will-o-Wisp" was heavily targeted.

They seemed to have another purpose for coming to the quarry.

We need more intel.

Anyway, combining intel from the other locations should give us some concrete results now.

I'll ask around the Hub base for more intel. Please use the protocol synchronizer to submit the data to SOW.

The experts back at base should provide further analysis. We can retrieve their final report from the Intel Archive.

Maybe it's time to analyze what we've got.
