Is Varl the Destroyer good?

A damage dealer whose ATK keeps climbing through a fight, which makes him excellent in Hydra and Clan Boss. Every non-A1 skill he uses adds ATK, up to +100%, and since the stacks only reset each round, single-round fights let him build all the way. Lay Waste hits all enemies with Weaken and adds Decrease ATK to anyone it Weakens, while Calamity Torrent is a single-target nuke that ignores part of the DEF, destroys MAX HP (useful for shrinking Scarab King's shield) and gives him Block Damage when it kills.

He's earned from Hard Doom Tower Secret Room fragments, and dungeons are his weakest area.

    Attacks all enemies. Has a 75% chance of placing a 25% Weaken debuff for 2 turns. Also places a 50% Decrease ATK debuff for 2 turns on those enemies who receive a Weaken debuff.   • Calamity Torrent

    Ability 3

    Attacks 1 enemy. Will ignore 30% of the target’s DEF. Decreases the target’s MAX HP by 50% of the damage inflicted. Places a Block Damage buff on this Champion for 1 turn if this attack kills an enemy. Lvl. 2: Damage +5% Lvl. 3: Damage +10% Lvl. 4: Damage +10% Lvl. 5: Cooldown -1

  • Mass Murder

    Passive

    Increases this Champion’s ATK by 10% each time they use an Active Skill (Non-A1). This stacks up to 100% and will reset each round.
