Is Matilda good?
Matilda is a free 5-star Star crit DPS who can inflict Confusion herself and has an ultimate that hits hard on a crit. She needs constant buffs and her Ingenious Étude at level 2 or higher as an opener to get anywhere, her Crit Technique is low for a crit unit, her multipliers are small and her passives add little, so she falls behind as the game goes on.

Background
PAGENAME (玛蒂尔达)(full name: Matilda Bouanich), is a Star Arcanist in Reverse: 1999.
The monitor assistant of SPDM.
The first place for sure, the outstanding young lady—Our Matilda.
Matilda is one of the students who is drawn in by Vertin and The Ring who gathered up a group of students who are curious about the outside world under George the Oak tree.
She helps out in the meeting by pointing out how she is the last to join the Foundation and so still has most of her memories of the outside world, and later joins in on the plan to intercept the Parade Ceremony by singing the poem instead of the School's song.
She later leaves the group once she finds their intention of leaving the Foundation, expressing that she came to the Foundation out of her own will and has no intentions of leaving.
Despite this she still helps out the group on their escape.
Sonetto
Matilda has a one-sided rivalry with Sonetto who is the first in the school rankings, and given Matilda's competitive nature she wishes to take over the first place, starting their rivalry.
Despite trying to act unfazed by Sonetto, Matilda is quick to show her emotions and is easily seen flustered around Sonetto or by the mentions of her.
Jessica
After the events of the A Nightmare at Green Lake, Jessica gets put on a Behaviour Modification Course, of which Matilda is one of the characters Jessica can choose to hang out with and befriend.
