Is Kro’khad the Throatripper good?

A damage dealer made for Hydra who ignores the protections Hydra heads rely on, and who's at his best next to Packmaster Shy'ek. His A1 gets past Pain Link and Reflect Damage, and his A3 ignores half the target's DEF plus Life Barrier and Poison Cloud, which helps free allies a head has swallowed. His A2 hits all enemies with Leech and Weaken and adds an extra hit on targets carrying two or more debuffs.

With Packmaster his A1 counterattacks for double damage (good for Hex procs), his debuffs become irresistible, his kill-based ATK stacking goes higher and his A3 fires instantly when a head consumes an ally; without him he's a decent PvE pick but no more.

This attack also deals double damage when counterattacking if Packmaster Shy’rok is on the team. Lvl. 2: Damage +10% Lvl. 3: Damage +10%

  • Festering Jaw

    Ability 2 · Cooldown 4 turns

    Attack all enemies. Places an extra hit on enemies under 2 or more debuffs. Has a 75% chance of placing a Leech debuff and a 25% Weaken debuff for 2 turns. These debuffs cannot be resisted if Packmaster Shy’ek is on the team. Lvl. 2: Damage +10% Lvl. 3: Damage +10% Lvl. 4: Buff/Debuff chance +10% Lvl. 5: Buff/Debuff chance +15% Lvl. 6: Cooldown -1

  • Dominant Predator

    Ability 3 · Cooldown 4 turns

    Attacks 1 enemy. Will ignore 50% of the target’s DEF, as well as Life Barrier and Poison Cloud buffs, and effects that redirect attacks, damage, or debuffs to another target. Repeats this attack once if Packmaster Shy’ek is on the team. Lvl. 2: Damage +10% Lvl. 3: Damage +10% Lvl. 4: Cooldown -1

  • Primal Ambition

    Passive

    Increases this Champion’s ATK by 5% when killing an enemy or decapitating a Hydra Head (stacks up to 25%). Increases this Champion’s ATK by 10% when killing an enemy or decapitating a Hydra Head instead if Packmaster Shy’ek is on the team (stacks up to 50%). Instantly activates the Dominant Predator skill against a Hydra Head, when an ally is consumed by that Head, if Packmaster Shy’ek is on the team.
