Profile
Bellona's full name is Bellona Moune.
Background
Daughter of a noble Ezeran family, Bellona ran away from home, refusing to be forced into an arranged marriage.
After joining the Phantom CIC she appears to be much more satisfied with her new life, where she can fight as many strong enemies as she likes and hone her skills.
Bellona Moune bears an education fitting of a high-class woman and is in frequent attendance at parties and festivities, something she claims is all she's good for.
Her parents intended for her to wed Aither after he would take the throne as King of Ezera so that the Moune family could control him and become the most powerful noble family in the Kingdom.
Personality
Bellona can come off as cold and calculating in her worse moments, her every interaction possibly having an underlying motive or being a part of a bigger scheme.
This is accompanied by a slightly childlike mischievousness that surfaces whenever she makes banter with others, seeming to enjoy teasing and messing with other people who fall prey to her wiles.
On a normal day, Bellona is cool and level-headed.
She displays wits and intelligence befitting her stature as a noblewoman of Ezera.
Underneath this front, however, is a young girl that longs for the outside world and to make her own real decisions for herself without anyone getting in the way.
Having lived all this time with her life decided for her, Bellona grew a yearning to strike out on her own and do what she enjoys instead of abiding by what she is told.
For a time, she hid away bitterness and resignation after trying so long to earn her freedom only to fail each and every time.
After helping to thwart the attempt to assassinate Aither during his coronation in the Side Story "Where Roses May Bloom", Bellona regained the will to forge her own path for herself.
Despite her persona, Bellona can act according to her inner desires even without realizing it herself and thus makes her true intentions easier to realize.
And despite what she lets on, Bellona can fold under pressure.
She is unexpectedly sincere and wants for real and close friendship, something she learned to forge by herself after finally mustering up the will to run away from home.
Lore
Welcome to Oasis Land
In Welcome to Oasis Land, Bellona appears only briefly, and specifically as Seaside Bellona, during the scenes showing Oasis Land after its successful restoration and reopening.
She does not take part in the central conflict involving Frida, the Pfalz family, or the effort to revive the park, but instead appears as one of the guests enjoying the restored attraction.
Her short appearance takes place in the beach area, where Sez hands her a drink.
Seaside Bellona thanks Sez and remarks that while the rest of the continent is freezing cold, Oasis Land is so warm and temperate that it is no wonder people call Lefundos the home of magic.
Through this small exchange, the story uses Bellona to highlight one of the park’s most impressive qualities as a destination: the magical climate control that makes its seaside atmosphere possible even in a cold region.
Orbis Gladiatorium
Bellona has a direct role only in Orbis Gladiatorium - Preliminaries.
She appears in the Ezera preliminary finals, where she meets Adventurer Ras as his next opponent and says she is honored to see him again in such a setting.
Bellona explains that she joined the tournament because she wanted to test how much stronger she had become during her time as a member of Phantom CIC, while Ras acknowledges both her talent and the challenge she presents.
After their match, Bellona is graceful in both defeat and self-assessment.
Ras praises her for cornering him by skillfully using the objects around them, and Bellona answers that although she believed her awareness of her surroundings had improved through fighting the Unknown in the Chaos Gates, she still has more to learn before she can measure up to him.
Ras in turn insists that the outcome was close enough that he was lucky to win, showing that Bellona pushed him harder than a simple loss might suggest.
Bellona’s most personal moment comes immediately afterward, when she points Ras toward the nobles’ gallery and identifies the woman there as her stepmother and the man beside her as her father.
She reveals that her stepmother always treated her like a threat, feared that Bellona would take her son’s place as head of the family, and even tried to barter Bellona away in marriage for the family’s power.
Bellona says that, when she was younger, she believed that to be her fate until she met Sez and the Phantom CIC crew.
That reflection leads directly into Bellona’s reason for fighting now.
She tells Ras that she truly values the freedom she has in the present, describing each day as a chance to discover more about herself and what she is capable of.
She then gives Ras her chess piece, saying that she bestows her heart and freedom upon it, promises to follow whatever path he takes even if she arrives later, and swears that she will be there in his time of need.
When Ras asks whether she is disappointed by the loss, Bellona replies that she would rather train more first, plans to begin training with Sez later that very day, and says she will only accept disappointment if she loses again after becoming stronger.
Overall, Orbis Gladiatorium portrays Bellona as poised, perceptive, and self-determined.
Her role there is not tied to the larger Monolith conflict, but to a personal test of strength and a reaffirmation of the freedom she won for herself.
Taken together, these stories present Bellona primarily through her substantial role in Orbis Gladiatorium, where she is shown testing her growth and reaffirming the freedom she values.
Her cameo in Welcome to Oasis Land places her in a much lighter context, using Seaside Bellona to help convey the comfort, warmth, and festive appeal of the restored park.
