Is Schniel good?

Schniel wipes two allies' debuffs on her own turn already, and if poison or venom hits an ally after an enemy move, she also clears her own status effects and sets off Antidote, a full-team debuff purge plus Immunity and Unfazed that resets her cooldown at the same time. Her opener speeds up whichever ally, including herself, currently holds the top attack stat, and her ultimate hits the whole enemy side while raising a shield for the team, buffing their defense, and packing on flat bonus damage that climbs steeply once she's Unfazed.

Strengths

  • Cleanses two allies' debuffs every turn
  • Poison or venom on an ally triggers a full team cleanse plus immunity and unfazed
  • Third skill shields the team, buffs defense, and adds growing fixed damage

Profile

Schniel carries the title "King of Lefundos".

Background

The king of Lefundos who ascended to the throne three years ago.

Despite people's expectations of him becoming a benevolent king, he constantly troubles those around him with behavior unbefitting his royal status.

Then one day, he simply disappears, leaving behind only a note of his abdication.

Romann / Romann / Friendly: Schniel knows that behind his cousin Romann's sharp tongue lies a kind heart.

Yet, he feels both grateful and burdened at the same time whenever his cousin overestimates his abilities.

Cecilia / Cecilia / Friendly: Although Schniel and Cecilia have crossed paths only a few times, he's already perceived Cecilia's warm and righteous nature.

Tywin / Tywin / Friendly: Schniel views Tywin as his most dependable ally, one who has been and will always be by his side, no matter what choices he makes.

Ervalen / Ervalen / Friendly: Schniel knows his young uncle Ervalen supports him unconditionally, despite having endured a tough childhood because of him.

Ervalen / Ervalen / Hostile: After discovering that everything Schniel knew about Ervalen was built on lies, he falls into deep despair and self-loathing for not being able to realize the truth sooner.

Ervalen / Ervalen / Friendly: Schniel sincerely hopes Ervalen breaks free from the bridle of his family and finds what he truly desires.

Eliza / Eliza / Friendly: Though their engagement was arranged by their families, Schniel thinks he and Eliza are true companions who deelply care for one another.

Eliza / Eliza / Hostile: Schniel blames himself for Eliza's decision, believing his unreliability drove her to make that choice.

Eliza / Eliza / Friendly: While Schniel knows they can never return to what they once had, he hopes they might someday meet again with smiles on their faces.

Aramintha / Aramintha / Friendly: Aramintha is the leader of Phantom CIC that Schniel briefly joined hands with when gathering information about the Black Knight and the Land of Death.

Ambitious Tywin / Ambitious Tywin / Hostile: Schniel suspects that Ambitious Tywin, an Automatic Doll that copies Tywin's appearance, is merely feigning obedience to Ervalen while hiding his true colors, based on the information from Flan.

Lore

Welcome to Oasis Land

In Welcome to Oasis Land, Schniel first appears as the host welcoming Arunka and Hwayoung to Lefundos for an international exchange.

In those early scenes, he presents Oasis Land as one of Lefundos’s great wonders, praises Eda as one of its original designers, and urges her to accompany the guests there so that Lefundos’s magical technology can be shown off properly.

His role at this stage reflects both his pride in the country’s achievements and his tendency to turn opportunities into diplomatic showcases.

He also makes clear that, from the palace’s perspective, Oasis Land is supposed to be operating normally and receiving regular support, which later becomes an important contrast with the park’s actual condition.

Once the state of Oasis Land is revealed, Schniel remains mostly offstage, but his importance to the story continues through the authority of the palace.

The discovery that the park has fallen into ruin despite the royal budget supposedly being allocated every year casts doubt on how the Pfalz family has been handling the money, and later, once the truth begins to surface, aid from the crown starts to move more directly.

During the restoration, workers and supplies are sent by Schniel himself, and Hwayoung delivers both the royal funding previously meant for the Pfalz family and a decree signed by him ensuring that it will go directly to Frida from then on.

In this way, Schniel becomes a quiet but decisive source of institutional support, helping turn the restoration from a private struggle into something backed by royal authority.

By the final part of the story, Schniel becomes directly involved again through his Digitus disguise.

Although he initially complains that Romann will not let him leave his duties to check on events personally, he later appears at Oasis Land as Digitus and publicly affirms what the visitors and the public have come to believe: that Frida is the true owner of Oasis Land and the one who has shown the deepest affection and responsibility toward it.

He then tells Frida that, once he returns to the palace, he will finalize the procedures to officially name her the head of House Pfalz.

This conclusion shows Schniel at his most constructive and just, using royal power not for spectacle or strategy this time, but to correct a long-standing wrong, recognize Frida’s worth, and restore legitimate leadership to both the park and the family.

Orbis Gladiatorium

In Orbis Gladiatorium - Preliminaries, Schniel is introduced as a major political leader working alongside the other rulers of Orbis after the Continental Alliance Conference.

He agrees with Aither that Ras should no longer bear the burden of defending the world alone, and he presents F.

I. D. E. L. I. S. as a joint effort to prepare Orbis against newly discovered extraterrestrial threats.

He then reaches out to Ras directly by letter, explaining that the continental representatives have agreed to create the organization, asking Ras to participate in the second Orbis Gladiatorium, and saying that Ras’s presence would inspire people and help uncover exceptional new fighters.

Schniel is also shown as one of the main architects behind the tournament itself.

Romann explicitly reports that Ras’s progress through the preliminaries is going according to Schniel’s plan, and Schniel openly explains that using Ras as a symbolic and awe-inspiring participant was the best way to draw in more contenders and strengthen F.

I. D. E. L. I. S. ’s future recruitment.

He also appoints Ruiza as Supreme Commander of F.

I. D. E. L. I. S. , entrusting her with protecting Orbis from celestial threats despite Romann’s concerns, and the story notes that the Axe of Heavenly Mandate, the tournament’s grand prize, was donated by the King of Lefundos himself.

Together, these scenes portray Schniel as warm and personable on the surface, but also highly strategic, willing to use spectacle, careful planning, and strong personnel choices to prepare Orbis for what lies ahead.

Monolith Showdown

In Monolith Showdown, Schniel is caught up directly in Notos’s intervention.

When Notos drags Ras and the others into the Pyramid, Schniel is among those rendered helpless and then infused with a fragment of Notos’s power, turning him into one of the people Ras must save by progressing through the Pyramid.

Within the Pyramid’s mirrored bracket, Schniel stands as the last Protector on Ras’s side, occupying the Citadel of Finality after Cerise, Romann, and Ruiza, and serving as the final obstacle before Ras reaches Notos in the Chamber of Proof.

While under Notos’s control, Schniel appears beside Tywin against Tactical Archetype Coli, and Coli notes that although Schniel rarely fights on the front lines, his tactical ability makes him a dangerous opponent.

Overall, these stories present Schniel as a king defined less by brute force than by coordination, foresight, and institutional power.

Whether he is helping organize Orbis’s defenses through F.
