...Something smells funny around here.

Sorry 'bout that, dearie. I just put out the bug-repellin' incense, so the smell must still be hangin' in the air.

Aldo

Bug-repelling incense? Does it work on bugs that eat rice plants, by any chance?

'Course it does! We make this ol' stuff to keep the rice nibblers away without hurtin' the rice itself.

But unfortunately...the batch I just burned was the last one. We're all outta the Yagara jumbo bamboo shoots to make more, too...

Aldo

We can go get some for you if you want! We were actually just looking for a way to deal with those bugs.

You'd do that? I can't thank you enough! Yagara Grove has been positively overrun with monsters lately, so us village folk can't even get near the place. Just three jumbo bamboo shoots should be enough to make some incense. But don't go hurtin' yourselves, now.

Aldo

No problem. We'll take care of this.

So this is a jumbo bamboo shoot... It does have a pretty unusual smell. I guess bugs don't like it much.

Senya

Urk... Can't say I'm a fan myself... Sorry, Aldo, could ya take a few steps back?

Yip!

Aldo

Hey, you don't have to be so harsh! ...Am I the only one who doesn't hate it?

That's two down!

There are bugs all over the place in this grove, but the bamboo shoots are the only things left untouched. I guess they really do keep the bugs away.

Found it! They're so big, but blend in surprisingly well. They must be pretty rare.

Maybe I'd better take a bath after this... At this rate, Senya and Kuramaru might never let me near them again.

Yagara jumbo bamboo shoots're more pungent than the normal food ones on account o' their medicinal uses. Well, I hope you get some good use outta it.
