The Reason for the Pain

Wait a second...

What's up?

I might be misremembering, but wasn't that hidden staircase somewhere around here?

It led down to the small room with the teddy bear in it.

You think if we fix this area up, Oswald'll get his memories back?

It's possible, but...

I know how you feel. If he remembers, he'll blame himself for what happened to those children again.

Then we leave it?

B-But if we do that, then...those children won't be saved. And I think Oswald would hate that even more.

Right...

Then let's start up the device and get this area fixed.

This area looks so much better now!

Now they should be able to get into the room with the teddy bear.

And Oswald's memories will come back...

Er... Let's see how things are going at Aura Resort.

Welcome back, Aldo.

Thanks. We just finished up some repairs in the Age of the Gods. We were wondering if that brought back Oswald's mem...

Ahhh! I remember now... I remember everything! Michel... Ellen... Saya... Leon... Rita... Roddy! How could I have forgotten them?!

So it all came back to you, huh...

Yes, and I thank you for it. You have returned history to the way it should be!

You're not upset? You're actually grateful?

I'm sure you understand why he feels that way. After all, you've grown a lot since we first met.

The sadder you feel at losing something, the more important it was to you. Remrelia and Chelika taught me that. It shows how much you loved and were loved by someone.

The changes that happen when people connect are what drive evolution in the spirals of our souls.

The Prayer of the Gyre Melody exists within all of us. But...saying that makes it sound like a fable.

As friends of Oswald's, we'd like to thank you too...

For reconnecting his past to the present.
