Restore the Guardian Deity and Hold the Festival

It seems the chief wants to hold a festival to breathe some life back into the village.

Beast Woman

Ah, wait just a moment! ...Please.

Guildna

Is something wrong?

Chief

Quite the contrary. Thanks to you and your comrades, our village is nearly restored. People are starting to breathe easier again.

So I was thinking...perhaps now would be the time for a festival. An impetus for everyone to gather, to offer prayers to the guardian deities, and breathe new life into Resttin.

Guildna

A fine idea. So what do you need?

Chief

Decisive as ever, I see.

In truth, several of the guardian deities were damaged in the recent turmoil... I would like to ask you, and your companions, to gather the materials we'll need to repair them.

Aldo

You got it. We'll get everything ready right away!

Chief

Now the festival can begin. Master Guildna, everyone, please join us.

This warms my heart. Thank you, truly. It's been so long since I've seen such joy on my people's faces...

Zestah

Let us thank you as well! Thanks to you, Resttin is completely back on its feet.

No, more than that. Now we can come out even stronger. We'll keep working hard, just you watch!

Brasah

Yeah. There's more we can do, for the good of the village.

Aldo

We're just glad we could help.

Guildna

I have high hopes for all of you.

Brasah & Zestah

Yes, sir!

Guildna

This island honors traditions found nowhere else. Even the guardian deities, we have not carried them elsewhere. You stand closest to our origins than any other beasts. This proximity, I do not regard it as mere coincidence. Perhaps within these ancient rites...there lies something we ought to carry forward. A key to shaping the future of the beastfolk.

Brasah

Master Guildna! If you're interested in the sacred ground, you're welcome to tap into my knowledge anytime! In fact, there's something I noticed just recently...

Zestah

Heh. Look at Brasah. He's beaming!

But it's true, this island's got customs you won't find in any other beastfolk village.

Aldo

Is it really that different?

Zestah

Well, the guardian deities for one...

And even the village name. A traveler once told me we use a VERY unusual naming convention...

Myrus

Aldooo! Master Guildnaaa!

Vares

A number of villagers have gathered who wish to greet His Majesty.

Myrus

They practically surrounded us! Said we HAD to go fetch you, no excuses!

Vares

Shall we, Your Majesty?

Guildna

Very well. Let's go.

Brasah, your insight was most valuable. As for that item we discussed...

Brasah

Yes, here it is.

This was stashed away in the back of our home's storage room. Just some old junk, or so we thought. But after poring over some old records, I've begun to suspect it might actually be... an orb.

Aldo

It's pitch black... Feels different from the others.

Wait...is that the "black star"?

Guildna

It's very likely. Were it not for the festival, I'd want to move the Astrolabos right away...

But we can afford a little delay. Let us enjoy the celebration with the others.

Aldo

(This orb must have a star map that goes with it... Guess I'd better start looking.)

Guildna

I'll hold on to the orb for now. If I discover anything else, I will bring it to you.

Brasah

Of course! Anytime!

Vares

Forgive me, Your Majesty, but the villagers awaiting your audience are beginning to grow...eager.

Guildna

Right. I'll go.

Myrus

They'll be so happy!

Come on Aldo, you too!

Aldo

Me?

Myrus

There's a lot of beastfolk here who've never spoken to a human before. They're excited to finally meet one! C'mon! Let's go!

Zestah

Do your best, humanity's counting on you!

Brasah

Don't worry, Aldo. They'll love you.

Aldo

Sure, no pressure or anything!
