Vildred

Vildred is a 5-star Earth character in Epic Seven. Faction: Ezera - Royal Castle.

Vildred's damage scales directly with his speed, and since several of his attacks already hit multiple enemies at once, building speed raises both how often he acts and how hard he hits at the same time. Any time a teammate's hit brings an enemy down to half health or lower, he automatically picks up an attack buff and unleashes an all-enemy skill that also refunds action gauge, letting him clean up fights fast and act again soon after, so he performs best next to allies who also bring their own area attacks.

His usual build sits at roughly 250 speed, enough to move in right behind his allies' action-gauge pushes, dumping everything else into damage, and he's a strong pick in both PvP and the Azmanak raid.

Due to his humorous style of speaking, many mistake Vildred as being light-hearted, but he has a serious side that leads him to stubbornly push ahead with what he thinks is right.

Aither / Aither / Friendly: A young prince who has been following Vildred around ever since he was a baby.

Aither is always bugging him, but he doesn't seem to mind.

Ras / Ras / Friendly: The Heir of the Covenant, long protected by the queen.

Now that Ras has opened his eyes, Vildred has been ordered to bring him back.

Ras / Ras / Hostile: Vildred trusted Ras more than anyone, hence why he was filled with such rage when he thought he had been deceiving them all.

Ruele of Light / Ruele of Light / Friendly: An old friend who sadly died.

Vildred wants to stop this vicious cycle for their sake and prevent more people from being sacrificed.

Iseria / Iseria / Rivals: A work colleague who always has to argue back against everything, Vildred dislikes how overly serious Iseria is.

Judge Kise / Judge Kise / Friendly: An old friend who sadly died.

Vildred has a direct role only in Arena Story, and even there the text treats his presence with uncertainty.

Hurado and Sven initially speak of Vildred as a known figure from Ezera, and Aki assumes that if Vildred were truly present, he would not attack without reason.

However, Mercedes soon connects the incident to the Pyramid’s broader pattern of identity theft, concluding that the attacker only looked like Vildred and was actually another mysterious being stealing his appearance.

Inside the Pyramid, a Vildred in his former general’s appearance travels with Judge Kise, Ruele of Light, Hurado, and Sven.

He presents himself as a capable ally, takes the lead through the Pyramid, and later claims that parts of his memory are missing, just like those of the other reconstructed figures.

He says he remembers remaining by the Sanctuary Gate and his standoff with Kayron, but not what happened after that, which briefly makes him seem consistent with the Pyramid’s distorted memories.

Even so, suspicion grows around him almost immediately.

Judge Kise feels that something is off about him, Hurado remarks that he is different from the Vildred they have heard about, and Sven deliberately feeds him a false story about a past monster hunt.

When the disguised Vildred accepts details that should have been wrong, Sven realizes he is lying.

Hurado and Sven then conclude that he is not the real Vildred, but only someone imitating him with partial knowledge.

Their suspicions are confirmed when the false Vildred lures Hurado and Sven away, draws his sword on them, and openly admits he is not who he appears to be.

Sven notes that even his swordsmanship is unlike the Vildred he knows, and the impostor attacks them once he realizes they are catching on.

Sven is badly wounded while protecting Hurado, and the disguised Vildred prepares to finish them off before the Pyramid’s sudden transformation allows them to escape.

Afterward, the impostor tries to preserve his cover.

He wounds himself, meets Judge Kise and Ruele, and falsely claims that an “imposter Ras” and his companions attacked them.

This deepens the confusion inside the Pyramid and helps turn suspicion toward Ras for a time.

Later, when Ras and Zeno corner him, the fake Vildred is finally exposed as an enemy whose body can be destroyed and whose power can be absorbed, confirming that he was never simply Vildred acting strangely.

As a result, Arena Story portrays Vildred less through direct action of the real character than through the significance of his identity.

His face, reputation, and remembered history are used as a disguise by one of the Pyramid’s deceptive beings, and the contrast between that impostor and the Vildred others think they know becomes one of the story’s clearest signs that the Pyramid is twisting memories and appearances alike.
