1 scenes, 21 lines
1. Before the battle
21 linesShuhei Hisagi is not a prophet, nor is he omniscient and omnipotent. And of course, there's no way he would know about his own future.
He is not a memorable hero like Ichigo Kurosaki.
He does not have sheer power like Kenpachi Zaraki...
Nor intelligence like Kisuke Urahara...
Nor technical skill like Mayuri Kurotsuchi...
Nor rank like Byakuya Kuchiki...
Nor innate talent like Toshiro Hitsugaya...
Nor experience like Genryusai Yamamoto...
Nor charm like Shunsui Kyoraku...
Nor vigor like Sajin Komamura...
Nor bravery like that of Kensei Muguruma.
And so, therefore...
The only thing that holds him up is his pride as a Soul Reaper.
Soul Reapers
They rule over life and death, while they themselves walk in the space between.
They embody the fear of death, the fear of life, and every other kind of fear.
However, those who live their lives as Soul Reapers cannot fear their own world.
To live in their world requires casting away the fears of one's past.
It is a world reached only after fighting off the unknown fears that lie in wait on the path ahead.
Until finally...
...the world turns again and the wind rises once more.
