The fin on its head acts as a radar, sensing movements of air and water, so Mudkip can get a grasp of its surroundings without using its eyes.

This is the Fox Pokémon Braixen.

When the twig is plucked from its tail, friction sets the twig alight. It's said that this flame is used to send signals to Braixen's allies.

When Braixen entered the darkness, it pulled the twig from its tail and set it alight.
