Busy Cynthia

Hi, Cynthia! About next week...

Oh! Were you in the middle of something?

Yes, I'm working on next week's tournament and some other Champion duties.

Next week...

Did you need something?

Um, I was planning to hang out with Skyla and some others next week, and I was wondering if you'd like to join us.

Hmm...

I need to put together my research report on myths next week...so I might not have time.

I'd love to, but I'll have to pass this time. I'm sorry.

Oh! That's OK! Sorry to bother you!

Not at all. Thank you for inviting me, Dawn.

It seems being a Champion's a lot of work.

Oh! Hey, Dawn!

Were you just talking to Cynthia? What'd she say about next week?

Well...

So yeah, that's what's going on.

I'm worried Cynthia might not be taking enough breaks.

Cynthia doesn't seem to find work tiring. She must be really invested in it.

If she doesn't remember to take breaks, she may never stop working.

Hmm...

If I may...

We're worried about you too, young master.

Wh-what?

You check on Pasio Academy all the time, on top of managing the island, riiight?

It's super cool that you work hard, but you gotta take a break once in a while!

If you got sick, all that work would be for nothing, Lear.

I see...

In that case!

Let's all help Lear and Cynthia get some rest!

So...

We don't want you or Lear to overwork yourselves!

So we'd like to give you a day off! As a gift!

Huh?!

What about my duties as Champion?

Oh, don't worry!

The Pasio Neo Champions said they can cover for you!

They were excited to give the other Champions a break!

Is that so...

And about your report on myths...

If that's all you have to work on, you can free up some time for a break, right?

... ... ...

I do want to spend time with you all, so...

Sure, I'll take you up on that day off!

Yaaay!

We already talked to Lear and the others and secured a spot!

Now, let's go buy a vacay outfit!

On the day of the holiday...

Welcome to my private beach!

I personally welcome each and every one of you, and...

Young master?

Er... I was told to take a break today too, but...

I give you special permission to use my private beach!

So please, relax and have a good time!

Thank you. I look forward to a lovely day.

Such beautiful weather... I think I'll have a wonderful holiday.

It'd be so refreshing to go for a swim. What do you think, Milotic?

By the way, where's Dawn?

She'll be a bit late.

She said she'll come after helping her Neo Champion friends.

After all that talk about me taking a break... She really is responsible, isn't she.

Oh, you two are already here.

Caitlin!

Think you'll be able to rest today?

Yes, thanks to everyone pitching in.

This reminds me of when I'd relax at your villa.

It takes me back!

Let's take a break from battling for a while...

and make the most of this day!

I-is that...?!

I can feel my creativity burnin'!

Glad we got to swim together?

We should do this more often.

Heeey, Cynthia! Want something to drink?

Yes, please! Thank you.

Oh, did you go in the water?

Yes, Milotic and I went for a swim and loved it.

But...gazing at the ocean is just as nice.

I can feel the quiet passage of time.

Yeah, moving around all the time can get tiring!

Even planes and bird Pokémon can't fly all the time!

It's important to take it slow sometimes and make time to Roost!

You're right.

Well, I'm gonna pass out the rest of these drinks!

OK, see you.

I wonder if there's buried treasure around here.

Hi! Want something to drink?

Whoa! You scared me.

Really? Why?

Is that your Jumpluff, Skyla?

Uh-huh! Isn't she cute?

She really is! You did a great job training her, but that's no surprise, coming from you!

A Grass-type Pokémon that flies in the sky... That fits your vibe perfectly, Skyla!

Thanks! Just like how Jumpluff circles the globe, blown by seasonal winds...

I'll keep flying high as a pilot!

If we use my cargo plane, we could get to your home of Sinnoh in just a hop, skip, and a jump!

The views while flying in the sky like Jumpluff would be amazing!

We should take a high-flying trip together someday, Gardenia!

Nothin's gonna happen if I just keep hiding here.

I just gotta go for it and talk to her.

Oh? You must be...

Huh?

Oh yeah, we've met before.

I knew it! You're Mela!

You want me and Milotic to model for your painting?

Yeah...

There're so many works of art featuring Milotic.

So as an aspiring artist, I want to challenge myself and paint one.

But I know you're here on holiday, so I felt bad about askin'.

You're very considerate. Thank you.

I don't mind if Milotic doesn't.

*chuckle* Doesn't sound like she does.

But are you sure you don't want to paint just Milotic?

Yeah. I wanna paint a beautiful sync pair, so...

Just stand next to Milotic.

OK, then I'd be happy to.

Sorry to be a bother. I owe you.

I hope you like how your painting turns out!

To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure about this.

Like I said, lotsa professionals have already painted Milotic...

Hey, can I ask you somethin'?

You're an expert on archeology and Pokémon battles, right?

So you're pretty much a pro. You ever feel down when you fail?

Hmm... Can't say I don't.

But I got this far because of my passion for those things.

And I've had just as many fun times... or even more.

This day off...

is all thanks to my friends who look out for me.

When I think about that, I stay strong even through tough times.

Friends who always support you, huh.

When something's got you down, it can be good to go on a trip!

Even Jumpluff circles the globe, blown by seasonal winds!

A trip, huh...

It might be nice to travel the world and paint.

That sounds like an exciting dream. I hope you achieve it one day.

No time to waste. Lemme grab my art supplies!

That takes me back. I used to feel lost and unsure, until I found my path.

I suppose that's how everyone feels.

Mela's passion inspired me, too!

Yes. She reminded us of something important.

I feel recharged and back to my roots!

Oh! Skyla! Are you alone? Where's Cynthia?

I'm just taking a stroll until Mela's done painting Cynthia and Milotic!

Cynthia and Milotic?!

I wonder how that'll turn out!

Let's have her show us when she's done.

You could've modeled for her too, Skyla.

Your outfit looks so nice today! It would've been lovely to paint.

Ahaha! You're making me blush!

Today's all about relaxing. Did you get some rest?

Yup! I feel great!

I love going all out with Pokémon battles and events...

but taking it slow ain't bad, either!

Instead of shooting through the air like my high-flying cannons and planes...

I feel like I'm drifting through the sky like Jumpluff!

Sounds like you really got to Roost today!

Our day of relaxation is coming to an end...

Mela might finish painting soon.

Let's go check it out!

Wooow! That's amazing!

Cynthia and Milotic are so beautiful!

They really are. It's mesmerizing.

At this rate, your art could be in a museum one day.

O-oh... Is it that good?

My heart feels like it's on fire... Thanks for letting me paint you two.

You're welcome!

It was a valuable experience for us, too!

Next time you paint something, please show us!

I look forward to seeing your next sweet work of art!

Yeah! Me too.

Good luck! I'll be cheering for you.

Thanks again for the lovely day!

Ehehe. No problem!

You did it, Dawn!

I need to thank the Neo Champions later.

Oh. By the way, is there something I can do for you two?

Ask me anything! I'll do my best!

I already had so much fun today, so I'm OK!

What about you, Dawn?

Hmm. I want to make sweets together.

And have a Pokémon battle. And, um... What else...

I just want to spend time with you, Cynthia!

*chuckle* Sure! We've plenty!

Let's keep going to the very last moment...

and make the most of this day!

Why don't we have even MORE fun!

Let's vacay!
