A Super Strong Mystery Trainer

Scottie and some other Trainers competing in the time trials were checking their rankings...

Let's see... Who's number one right now?

That "Poppy" person in first place...I hear they're really strong.

Yeah, I've heard rumors that their Pokémon is super powerful.

Poppy, huh...? Never heard of 'em.

Looks like Rika is in second. Wow, the rumors about Poppy must be true if they're able to beat a member of the Paldea Elite Four!

I wonder what they're like?

Hahaha! Yeah, maybe this Poppy's got some steel-hard muscles too!

Heh, yeah, must be an oldster like Opal...

Excuse me... Did I hear right? You're looking for Poppy?

Oh hey, kiddo. You know Poppy?

Do I know Poppy? Of course! How could I not?

Cool! Then can I ask you a favor?

We're itching for a battle! Could you hook us up?

Okey dokey! Just follow me, then!

All right, Scottie!

Looks like we'll get to see Poppy's talent with our own eyes!

Uh...is this where we're gonna battle Poppy?

Yep!

We'd probably break a bunch of stuff if we battled in town!

Now...

I'm gonna show you what I'm all about!

I let my guard down 'cause she's just a kid... This isn't looking good!

The dragon roars! Let's do it, Duraludon!

Your Pokémon might be tough, mister...

but my Pokémon is even tougher, your attacks are gonna bounce right off!

Knock 'em down, Tinkie!

Are you serious?!

In the aftermath of a furious battle, I feel as pure and refreshed as when the sky clears after a storm.

Ah, who am I kidding?!

So...I think it's safe to assume that...

Hey, Poppy! Looks like you got Scottie to play with you, eh?

You must be...

Hey hey! Rika here, at your service!

I figured!

Anyways...

Yep, I guess this kid really is that "Poppy" we've been hearing about.

I thought I'd made that clear...

Ah, you probably did. Sorry we didn't pick up on it, Poppy!

She might be little, but she's a member of the Elite Four.

In fact, she may even be stronger than me.

You bet I am!

Haha... I definitely felt that strength firsthand!

All right, Poppy, let's head back. The boss wants to see us.

OK!

Bye-bye, you two! I had sooo much fun!

Hope we get to play again!

Yeah! I won't lose next time!

Looks like we've got another strong Trainer on our hands, huh, Scottie?
