The Fast Runner from Pallet Town

Uh-huh... So you compete for the best time in a Pokémon battle?

I wanna do it too, Scottie!

Yes!

Oh, but aren't teams of three the norm here on Pasio?

Oh yeah, a team on Pasio usually has three people!

I wonder if there's anyone who'd join us...

Hey! Elaine!

We're here!

Chase?!

Heya, Elaine, Eevee!

There's a lot of people here... Is something going on?

And you are...?

This is Scottie. We're about to take on the Pokémon battle time trial together...

A time trial?! Wow! Sounds cool!

We wanna join too! Can we? Can we pleeease?

Not before you introduce yourself to Scottie! Or should I do it?

This is Chase!

And as you just saw, he loves running his mouth as much as, well...running!

Oh, he's also from the same place as me, Pallet Town!

Nice to meet you, Scottie!

Hehe! If it's speed you need, look no further!

Yup! When it comes to a foot race, I won't lose to anyone!

Chase's Pikachu is a little unusual, kinda like my Eevee.

Yeah! It doesn't like to go back in its ball, and it can use Secret Techniques!

We're awful good at Pokémon battles, too!

Seriously, just ask Elaine, we helped her out plenty of times back in Kanto!

*grumble*

I was the one that helped YOU out, remember?

All right! Let's go and practice as a team!

Let's start by racing to the square over there!

Ready, set...go!

Hey! Wait up, Chase!

I wonder how we placed!

I think we got a pretty good time...

OK! The team in first place is...

R-Red's team...

Bonjour! Chase, Elaine, Scottie!

... ... ...

Red! Blue! Leaf!

You really had us on our toes, our teams made nearly the same time!

Nice work. But don't go thinking you're in for an easy win next time.

Same goes for you!

Haha! That's the spirit!

... ... ...

Ahh...

We've still got a ways to go before we catch up to them...

One day...one day we'll be a better pair than Red and Pikachu!

Partner!

Let's stay the path together until we're the strongest we can be!

Whoa! I just can't stand still right now!

Let's race to the sunset! Ready, set...go!

Suuure, why not...

Let's follow them. Just, uh...slowly.
