The Mysterious Hikers

Scottie started hearing rumors from [EN:Gen Ref="255" M="his" F="her" ] friends that some strange men had been spotted around Pasio.

Oh yeah, I've met someone like that!

I met him when I was traveling around the Sevii Islands!

Wait, you met him, too, Red?

Huh. I met someone like that in Viridian Forest.

Me too...

I met someone like that at the Resort Area back in Sinnoh.

I wonder if it was the same person.

Yeah, I met someone like that in Mauville City! What about you?

Hmm... I did hear rumors about someone like that who was spotted at a ferry terminal in Alola...

I wonder if they came from somewhere far away.

Yeah, I totally met a guy like that! Two, in fact! They were brothers, if I remember right!

Hm... The ones I met were a man and his son...

But they did give you something, right? And it was two of the same thing?

Yep!

A while later...

There's a rumor that some strange hikers have been appearing often on a certain mountain here on Pasio.

It gives me a bad feeling, so I'd appreciate if you could look into it, Scottie.

I wonder who or what these strange hikers might be.

Scottie and Steven split up to search for the rumored hikers, until eventually...

Hey there! If you're here on this golden path, that can only mean one thing!

You're here 'cause you want a present, right?

We'd be happy to share some with you right away, but first...

We've just arrived on Pasio, so we're new sync pairs! And we're itching to battle!

We'll give you your present if you can beat us!

There's no need to be so shy! After all, we are...

Well...I guess right now, we're just your normal, average hikers!

Time for a battle, then! Let's go, guys!

Phew, you really are strong! You had us all beat!

Which means you've earned yourself those Nuggets we just gave you!

We can't give you any nuggets of wisdom, so that'll have to do!

Try to spend them wisely!

Good question! We're not quite sure, either!

Of course! We've got more than enough to go around!

All right! Time to go pass out more of our Nuggets to everyone else!

See ya! I hope we meet again!
