Benedict

This village... it's full of people doing the same thing.

Aldo

(Now that I think about it, Benedict is a lumberjack... Not that he looks the part.) The Moonlight Forest is full of high quality trees, so it attracts the lumberjacks.

???

Sir. I have to compliment you on your ax!

Lumberjack

You look like you know how to use it, too. There have been lots of disturbances lately. We can't fulfil the orders from the Royal City. I don't suppose you could help us out?

Benedict

Oh... You want my help? Well, as the world's greatest lumberjack, how can I refuse?

Lumberjack

That's the spirit! Aldo knows the way to the Moonlight Forest.

Aldo

M-Me? Okay. I was planning on helping out anyway.

Benedict

Perfect. I can even teach you a little about lumberjacking.

2. Scene 2

9 lines
Benedict

...Hmm, nothing here.

Aldo

Nothing? Benedict, not that I doubt your credentials, but are you sure you're really a lumberjack?

Benedict

Of course I am. A lumberjack lives by the ax. Is that not so?

Aldo

Well, I guess you're not wrong.

Benedict

Hmph!

This trail... There's no doubt.

It leads further into the forest. Aldo, we need to head this way.

Aldo

H-Hey! There are trees all over the place...

...Oh well. I guess I should follow him.

3. Scene 3

Aldo

Hey, Benedict. Do we really need to head this far into the forest?

Benedict

Fret not, Aldo. If I am not mistaken...

Aldo

I thought I'd find you! This time period is full of territorial battles, everyone's mood is out of whack.

Benedict

It's finally here. Now the lumberjack's job can begin.

Aldo

What?

4. Scene 4

6 lines
Benedict

Okay, all done. Now to take the things that we can use and go back.

Aldo

Well, you definitely used your ax, but this isn't lumberjacking, it's hunting! A lumberjack cuts down trees!

Benedict

......

Aldo

......

Benedict

...Of course. I was planning on doing that on the way back...

Aldo

R-Really? I guess that makes sense...

5. Scene 5

Benedict

These will do.

Aldo

I suppose. At last I get to see you at work. The great lumberjack! If you're going to cut down that tree, I should probably keep at a safe distance.

Benedict

No...

No need for that.

Aldo

What?

......

Wh-What? Nothing happened...

...Wait! What's that... The foliage has all been neatly pruned! How did he do that with that big ax? And so quickly?!

Benedict

Pretty impressive, right? Do you believe me now?

Aldo

It's definitely impressive...

But look, isn't this more like gardening? You're not here to prune, you're here to cut the trees down! Cut them into portable sizes! Remember, the old man said he didn't have enough wood!

Benedict

......

Aldo

......

Benedict

...Of course. I was just preparing the tree.

Aldo

R-Really? I guess that makes sense...

Wood acquired.

6. Scene 6

Lumberjack

Oh! Are you finished?

Aldo

It took a little longer than expected, but we got there in the end... We've brought as much as we could carry, the rest is piled up in the forest.

Lumberjack

This will do nicely. Thank you. We'll take care of the rest!

Aldo

Oh! There are some round slices and diced wood, but don't worry about those!

Benedict

Today was a good day. Now Aldo finally believes I'm just an average lumberjack.

Aldo

Y-Yeah... You could say that...

Benedict

Are you tired? Lumberjacking can be tiring work. It's not something that can be done half-heartedly. Let us rest.

Aldo

Haha. I'll keep that in mind.
