... A clamorous commotion outside.
*Squeak*
I open the door to see what is going on.
Outside, there are five Nikkes standing in a group.
We didn't wake you up, did we, Commander?
Emma greets me with her usual bright smile.
Did you sleep well?
Likewise with Mica.
Did you just wake up?
Good morning, Pit Boss.
Noir and Blanc, the lucky bunnies.
Oh dear, we must have been causing quite a ruckus.
And Ludmilla.
What are you all up to?
We found something pretty interesting
while we were cleaning the hot spring.
Do you want to see it?
Ludmilla shows me something in her hands,
which appear to be two old beaten-up books.
What are they?
Legends?
I gingerly crack open the cover of the first book.
Scrawled on the pages are distorted words that have clearly been written with great effort:
"Outer Legend."
"If you succeed in skipping a stone 8 times at the bridge in front of the waterfall, your wish will come true."
"Luck comes when ■■ enter the hot spring."
"If you hang a note with a wish on a bamboo tree when the sun sets, your wish will come true."
I open the second book:
"Inner Legend."
"If you make food ■■■ and bring it to the waterfall, you will see a secret."
"■■■ roams in the dormitory."
"If you ■■■■ near the walking trail, ■■■ will be reflected."
"If you experience all the legends, then you will ■■."
Hmm...
Looks fun.
I think whoever wrote this was just having a laugh.
We think so too!
Whether the legends are true or false, one thing is for sure: these were written down by a human from the past.
So, we were discussing how while we're spending time here,
we could look into discovering the secret behind the legends written in these pages.

That's the one I'm most interested in as well!
It'd be a crime for us to be left out of anything where luck plays a factor.
Personally, I think the one about skipping stones is the most intriguing.
Although I've never tried it before...
