The Arceus Cup Begins!

I believe everyone heard the voice saying "show me thy bond" a while ago.

It is highly likely that that was the voice of Arceus, the deified Pokémon.

The voice was heard the moment the sync stones ultimate began to shine, but no one has been able to draw out their true power.

I believe that Arceus's will is linked to the sync stones ultimate!

Therefore, contestants will be asked to use them to show their bond with their Pokémon!

The objective of this tournament is to respond to Arceus's voice!

At the Arceus Cup, participants can choose their opponents!

This tournament isn't about winning battles, it's about demonstrating the bond between you and your partner.

To be considered a winner in this tournament, you must be deemed worthy by Arceus!

Let's show the deified Pokémon just how strong the bonds of sync pairs can be!

Six Trainers will be competing in today's tournament in response to Arceus's voice.

All competitors are here of their own volition and desire.

Hey!

I can tell just by looking at you...

you and your Dragonite have been through a lot!

Yeah, it's all thanks to you.

We promised, remember?

We're gonna compete with each other...

And see who's stronger!

Yeah!

We'll show you what a difference all that training has made when we face off in battle!

Hey, Wallace.

I suppose it's time to show you firsthand the strength we found on our adventures.

You've become stronger and more confident, Steven.

But remember, if you're not strong enough, I'll be taking your seat as the Champion of Hoenn.

I know the stakes. Bring it on!

Now, Cynthia...

This time, we'll be battling in front of a crowd. Given your title as Champion, you can't afford to lose, can you?

You're right. But don't worry...

we won't lose.

Oh?

(It seems there's something more to her now...)

All right, everyone. Are you ready?

Let the battle begin!
