Dynamax Blocks the Way

I guess the next opportunity for us to battle is the semifinals, huh!

Yeah! Let's make sure we both win! I'll see you there!

No matter who wins, no hard feelings, OK?

Of course! It's a showdown between the prettiest girls in Johto and Kanto!

Excuse me. I hate to burst your bubble...

...But you'll have to get through US first!

Don't take us lightly, now. You'll be in for a world of pain if you do!

For the first match in block A...

The rock-solid Pokémon Trainer, Brock, is ready to rock!

He's up against the fighting farmer! Here's the Grass-type expert, Milo!

And now, introducing the first match of block B!

The Tomboyish Mermaid, Misty, takes the stage!

Her opponent is...the raging wave! The master of Water types, Nessa!

I'm giving this all I've got, even against you, Nessa!

Of course! I won't forgive you if you go easy on me!

I look forward to battling you, Brock!

I won't hold back in this Gym Leader showdown!

Hahaha! Don't worry!

No matter how serious you are, we can take anything you throw at us!

And now, let the first match...begin!

Hang in there, Onix!

Wow! Onix is supposed to be weak to Grass-type attacks. I didn't think it'd withstand so much!

I'm impressed! You're tough as weeds!

Hahaha! Thanks for the compliment!

Onix, time to counter!

Oof! At this rate, Eldegoss, our attacks won't be enough to finish them off!

Then...

It's Dynamax time! They're about to be uprooted!

There it is! They've Dynamaxed!

Drednaw! Let's sink them!

We won't be washed away so easily!

Starmie! Let's pick up the pace!

Faster, faster!

I hope you can take this!

Darn, we missed!

All right!

Tighten up your defense, Onix! We'll get through this if you can hold strong!

What? I can't believe that didn't uproot them!

Well done! Good job staying strong!

Let's finish this, Onix!

You defeated us fair and square, Brock! Good luck at the semifinals!

Thanks! I'll be fighting for your sake, too!

Phew! I can't believe we dodged that!

Our turn! Let's go, Starmie! We're going on an all-out offensive!

Your surging might overpowered ours! Keep it up, and good luck in the next match!

Thanks! We'll be sure to shine at the top!

We both got through our first matches, huh!

Yup! Let's see how the others went.

No way! Whitney lost?!

Roark, too! I didn't expect those two to lose!

Their opponents were both Paldea Gym Leaders!
