If I understand correctly, you'd like to liven up the Arceus Cup with a new format?

Yeah! Don't you think now's a good opportunity to change things up?

Here's an idea I had...

Let's hold a tournament in which all the participants are Gym Leaders!

Hmmm...

If your goal is to liven things up, why restrict who can participate?

Remember how in the last cup, I staked my pride as a Gym Leader on a battle against Giovanni and awakened my arc suit?

Apparently, that inspired lots of other Gym Leaders to take on the Arceus Cup, too!

They're all champing at the bit to battle other strong Trainers!

So you want to structure the tournament to be easier for them to participate?

I was trying to figure out how to run a tournament like that...

Lear. Do you know of a tournament I created in Unova's Driftveil City called the PWT?

The PWT... That's the Pokémon World Tournament, correct?

I've heard it's a facility that holds tournaments for strong Trainers from all over the world.

Heh. Glad you've heard of it! That makes convincin' you easier.

The main draw of the PWT is that each tournament limits participants to specialists of a specific type or folks with a certain title!

Runnin' a similar tournament here means we could do more than just Blue's idea of a Gym Leader–only tournament.

We could use the same structure to hold other themed tournaments, too!

Hmmm...

Also, another thing that might sweeten the deal...

is that the PWT is a spectacle, it brings in spectator money!

I would expect no less from the Miner King himself. I admire your business acumen.

I also think this'll help more of us awaken our arc suits.

I heard the next Arceus Cup is gonna be a tournament based on the PWT!

I guess you participated in the PWT back in Unova, Rosa?

Seems you have to be a Gym Leader to participate. Are you two gonna give it a go?

That said, I've heard if there are more than eight applicants, they'll pick us at random.

I wonder who they'll choose...
