Belita's Intimacy story
20 scenes, 140 lines
1. Part 1
7 linesSometimes, it's burdensome to have my subjects constantly follow me. There are times when I desire solitude in silence.
Why not just order them to leave?
A queen's subjects must always be at her side to advise, so they often ignore such orders.
You can secretly run away.
Run away? You want me to abandon my throne and kingdom and run away? What an irresponsible thing to say...!
How about setting a schedule for your subjects?
A kingdom never sleeps, but everybody needs to rest, so... that should be okay...? I'll keep your advice in mind.
2. Part 2
7 linesI was a little worried, but Yggdrasil seems to be well-managed at the surface. I'm proud of my little sister.
Don't thank her, thank the subjects around her.
What do you mean? Are you saying the Sprite Queen dumps all her work on her subjects?
Well... the Sprite Queen does try her best... in a way... kind of.
As long as we keep this up, Yggdrasil will grow big and tall. I'm glad.
Ask her if she can detain her sister and get her to fix the way she thinks.
You want me to do what to my sister...? Master, how can you say such things about your queen?!
3. Part 3
7 linesWhat are your thoughts on how to distinguish between flattery and sincere counsel from your subjects?
Since the judgment is yours to make, you must conduct a thorough examination.
A textbook answer isn't always the right one. Unless you're a divine being, you can't possibly examine every nook and cranny of your kingdom.
You should first fill your palace with subjects you can trust.
Indeed, figuring out the capabilities of your subjects comes first. That's also the difficult part, though.
Instill a climate of fear with severe consequences for when things go wrong.
That's not something I would recommend. It might work temporarily, but it's not really effective in the long term.
4. Part 4
7 linesDo you mind if I take, uh... that thing I secretly ordered... again?
Your secret order? You mean the box of dark chocolate with honey syrup?
Shush! Put that in my magic pouch before my subjects hear about it! Thank you, as always.
A secret order? You mean the frozen cilantro veggie meatball?
I... I never ordered something like that... Did you even pay attention to my order?
A secret order? You mean the life-size cut-out of Yggdrasil?
Wh-What? You sell stuff like that? Where do you get such a large sheet of paper? This is an unexpected score.
5. Part 5
7 linesWhy do we get such few tourists to the underground? Our scenery is just as spectacular as the surface...
That's because the inhabitants are always fighting each other, be it witches or dragons.
But... we don't fight tourists, do we? Wouldn't the fights be just another great attraction for them?
It's dark, damp, and stuffy there... need I say more?
I see. There are times when I miss the blue sky sometimes, too.
Should I have the Order rent a bus and go on a group tour?
A bus...? I don't know what that is, but if you come, I'll welcome you in person!
6. Part 6
7 linesSometimes I wonder if our looking after Yggdrasil is a good thing.
Why? Are you afraid that you might be spoiling it rotten?
Master! You shouldn't say it like that! You aren't completely wrong, though...
Are you saying that nature should be left to nature?
That's right. I just have a feeling that it will grow well on its own even if we don't do anything to it.
You should continue looking after it. You said it's your calling in life.
Right...? It is in our instincts to care for Yggdrasil... Thank you for listening to my concerns.
7. Part 7
7 linesThe way the Order "prays"... Is that actually okay?
Ah... you mean where everyone prays by napping?
Y-Yes! Is napping really all you have to do? It bewilders me every time!
The Head Priestess says it's okay, so it's probably okay. Just enjoy your nap.
But if you sleep at night, do you actually need to pray? I mean, it's nice to rest more, but still...
There's a priestess who has been praying for five years.
She's been sleeping for five years...? Shouldn't you wake her up?
8. Part 8
7 linesMaster, has Yggdrasil ever spoken to you? I'm asking if you've ever received a revelation or anything like that.
Nope.
Hmm, really? So even the Master cannot communicate with Yggdrasil directly...?
Well, I'm not sure. Could a ridiculous dream be considered a revelation?
Why, what kind of dream did you have? Why don't you try keeping a dream diary?
I hear that I am the rightful ruler of Elias.
...I see... Uh, sure, okay. You have a strange sense of humor, Master.
9. Part 9
7 linesYesterday, I spent the whole day mediating witches who were fighting, and now I'm tired.
Give them a noogie each time they fight.
Their heads would be completely misshapen if I did that. The bumps would keep growing until they became horns.
So? Who won?
Sigh... Does that even matter, Master...? Are you even listening to me?
You've had it rough there. Would you like a warm cup of tea?
Thank you. Mmm... this brief respite warms my heart.
10. Part 10
7 linesI would like to send a gift of friendship to Sprite Kingdom. What would you recommend?
Erpin's favorite snacks.
That's probably best, right? Maybe I should send arrowroot soup topped with mugwort syrup for old-time's sake, haha.
Ner's favorite Yggdrasil merch.
Merch...? I have things like paintings of Yggdrasil's roots, but would that really be enough?
Don't bother, you'll just spoil them.
I'm sending it to ease tensions between us, so wouldn't it be a nice gesture? You've much to learn about diplomacy, Master.
11. Part 11
7 linesWhat do you think makes the Witch Kingdom worth visiting? I'm thinking of turning it into a tourist spot.
The massive roots of Yggdrasil.
I'm a bit reluctant to let tourists get too close... but I like how you see it as the symbol of our kingdom.
The lights in the town square.
Yes, that is one of our nice attractions. Though a witch once caused a commotion after blowing them up.
The witch street brawls.
Maybe I need to set up a stage and get a referee for them? Personally, I find them a nuisance.
12. Part 12
7 linesWhat counts as a proper witch's snack anyway? Fricle gave me an earful about it again today.
Fried carrots, obviously.
*Sigh*... Yeah, that's a steady seller in the Witch Kingdom. Never really hit the spot for me, though.
Has to be deep, dark chocolate.
Not all witches have a taste for dark things. Hmm... Still, I'd happily take some dark chocolate if you're offering.
What does Fricle like?
Oh, I never asked that. Matching her taste might keep her from nagging me. Thank you.
13. Part 13
7 linesIsn't it strange? Why doesn't anyone think that Erpin could be the older sister? I mean, I am the older sister, but still...
That would be terrible.
Why? Erpin can totally be dependable... What's with that look?
The emotional maturity, probably.
Hmm. I can't deny that I'm a bit more mature. But I do treasure Erpin's innocence, too.
Erpin should have that cute younger-sister charm.
You see it that way, too, Master? I knew I wouldn't be the only one to see how cute she is. That's reassuring.
14. Part 14
7 linesIt's only natural for the wisest to lead. That's how it is for all races.
Really? Even sprites?
I think my sister has plenty of wisdom. Understanding when to push things and when to pull back is an important attribute of a ruler.
Really? Even elementals?
Sylla commands the elementals with her bravery. She can be demanding, but that's also what keeps them in line.
Really? Even phantoms?
Shaydi uses her influence to dominate her underlings. Her authority is second to none.
15. Part 15
7 linesI get anxious whenever the elves get close to Yggdrasil's roots. I wonder why...
Do witches and elves have bad blood with each other?
There's a lot of strange back-and-forth between my witches and the elves. Since elves also live in Elias, I'm trying to be accepting of them.
It's because you're overly suspicious of everything.
Me? Possibly. Witches can be ridiculously crafty at times.
Keep a close eye on them. They're definitely going to pull something weird.
We can't just live in doubt forever, can we? Of course, it's always good to prevent disasters before they happen, though.
16. Part 16
7 linesWhat do the witches like? I'd like to know what my subjects usually like to order.
They're pretty old-fashioned.
Living underground does tend to make your food preferences a bit conservative. Still, it seems like they're eating healthy.
They like bold and adventurous food.
Looks like you've spent too much time in Sprite Kingdom. Now you're calling anything "not sweet" "bold and adventurous." I worry about you, Master.
We're gonna need some more potatoes and sweet potatoes over here!
Really? I can't believe there are witches like that... Why go through the trouble of coming all this way to have what they have every day?
17. Part 17
7 linesFrom your perspective, what do you think is the biggest difference between witches and sprites, Master?
Whether they have horns or wings?
Ah, so our appearances are what stood out to you. Well, we do look pretty different, I'll give you that.
You guys have completely different diets.
Ah, so that's what stands out to you here in the Banquet Hall. At least no one's going to be stealing each other's food.
You're all cut from the same cloth... always causing chaos.
Er... um... I suppose it's hard to stand up for anyone here... Please accept my apologies on behalf of my subjects.
18. Part 18
7 linesHow's life in Elias? Any thoughts about coming to live underground?
Got something good for me down there if I do?
Nothing in particular, but your diet would be healthier. How do you feel about root veggies?
Life's comfortable in Sprite Kingdom.
Sunlight and warm air are precious. I respect your decision.
You'll need to take a number. I'm making my rounds in order.
Wait, you're going to go through all seven nations in order? What? Are you doing a boss rush or something?
19. Part 19
7 linesI'm at a total loss trying to figure out how to get witches to cooperate.
Just band together when it really matters.
When everyone has to band together, it usually means something's gone terribly wrong... do we really want things to get that bad? I'm not so sure.
Try setting a goal you guys can all get behind.
We do share one goal... caring for Yggdrasil. It's a relief that no witch is working against that.
Even when you band together, factions still form within.
That's also true. In the end, every witch for herself might just be the answer.
20. Part 20
7 linesDo you know what my subjects wish for? Care to share some of it with me?
Velvet wants the throne.
It'll take more than brute strength to beat me. Velvet needs to develop her abilities further.
Levi wants some time off.
Whenever that kid has a day off, she finds a part-time job to fill it. There's not much I can do...
Posher wants you to buy her potions.
I was planning on inspecting Posher's store soon. Might as well pick up a bottle while I'm there.
