A Day with Red

One day, Scottie traveled deep into the glaciers.

Instead of the solitary scene [EN:Gen Ref="255" M="he'd" F="she'd" ] expected, [EN:Gen Ref="255" M="he" F="she" ] came across three people talking happily.

I can see why you and Articuno were chosen to be Neo Champions of Pasio!

Those Ice-type moves were impressive even to me!

Your average Trainer would be so entranced by the beauty of the ice, they'd be frozen solid before they snapped out of it!

Yeah, it's not just strong. The way it moves as it fights, almost like it's dancing, is sure to charm anyone who sees it.

Wow, I'm surprised to see you all the way out here, Scottie!

Oh, hey, it's Scottie! I'm surprised to see you all the way out here!

... ... ...

But at any rate, Red... Where did you catch Articuno, anyway?

I'm pretty sure I heard that they met at the Seafoam Islands.

Although Red had seen Articuno before actually coming face-to-face with it, and had been running around searching for it for ages.

I think you saw it through some binoculars at the gate by Fuchsia City, right?

... ... ...

Well, the caverns underneath the Seafoam Islands are certainly very cold.

A lot of very powerful Ice-type Pokémon make their homes there.

Not many Trainers venture there either, so I suppose it was a pretty comfortable place for Articuno.

But to think Articuno was so close to me... I sure missed out!

Well, Articuno still took a long time to warm up to Red, even after it was caught. It is a Legendary Pokémon, after all.

... ... ...

... ... ...!

Clearly it takes a legendary Trainer to be recognized by a legendary bird Pokémon...

After all, he's a "living legend"! Haha!

And I'm sure he'll keep showing us battles that live up to that reputation!

Of course...Red's not the only Trainer who's been recognized by a legendary bird Pokémon, you know.

... ... ...!

You two really are ALWAYS competing with each other, aren't you?

Of course!

If we weren't, none of this would feel worth as much to Red or Articuno, would it?
