Deep in the forest, Scottie realized someone was having a Pokémon battle.

[EN:Gen Ref="255" M="He" F="She" ] headed toward the sounds of battle and found Leon there.

Leon

Dragapult! Charizard! You're both moving brilliantly!

Oh! Scottie! I wasn't expecting to run into you here!

I was just doing some special training with Dragapult and Charizard!

I sure am, mate! So, are you here for some special training as well?

Hm. I just remembered, I have an introduction to make!

This chap here is Dragapult! He's been battling with me since my days in back in Galar. He's one of my indispensable partners!

Dragapult played a big part in my battles against Raihan and the other Gym Leaders, and he was a favorite with the fans as well!

Hm... I'm not sure...

Wow! That's a difficult question...

Charizard and Dragapult each have their own fighting style. They're not so easy to compare.

When Charizard enters battle, his overwhelming power and showy, over-the-top moves always get the crowd roaring!

Dragapult, on the other hand, is good at using tricky tactics and his overwhelming speed to toy with his opponents.

When Dragapult comes out in a battle, the stadium goes dead silent...

Everyone in the crowd concentrates, not wanting to miss a single move Dragapult makes.

And then, when Dragapult defeats an opponent, a murmur goes through the crowd...and then the cheers break out! I just love that moment!

So, to get back to your question...

Dragapult and Charizard are both strong, and they're both popular!

And now, it's my turn to ask a question!

Between Charizard's battle style, overwhelming opponents with power...

and Dragapult's style, using tricky movements and playing with opponents...

Which do YOU prefer, Scottie?

Haha! Is that so? You're a Charizard fan, eh?

Haha! Is that so? You're a Dragapult fan, eh?

To be a strong Trainer, though, you've got to know all sorts of ways to battle.

There are times when overpowering opponents is effective, of course...

But there are some opponents that won't work on, and you should try less risky methods as well.

By trying out different strategies, you'll naturally learn how best to battle AGAINST those strategies!

With that in mind, you and me are gonna have a Pokémon battle, right now! Better to learn by DOING than by listening to me go on about it!

All right! I'm sending out Dragapult first!
