A Day with Mela

Scottie came across Mela and Armarouge relaxing together.

Oh, it's you, Scottie. Don't just stare at me.

It's not like I'm doin' anything weird. Just takin' a breather between training sessions.

We aren't just about gettin' fired up. I try to make time for stuff like this, too.

Flames also need time to quietly flicker.

And Armarouge here is a precious partner to me.

But you seem itchin' to know more, so all right.

I've known my partner since he was a Charcadet.

Since before we kicked off Operation Star in Paldea.

We blazed through tons of battles and just kept turnin' up the heat.

But the reason we could keep burnin' without losin' heat or momentum...

was we had other Team Star members battlin' alongside us.

We kept burnin' and burnin'.

And then, when Charcadet got so hot he nearly burnt out, he evolved into Armarouge.

But he's not the only one who evolved.

The Starmobiles, the Pokémon-powered vehicles used in Operation Star, didn't have enough juice, so we needed some extra firepower.

So I had other Charcadet evolve too, and we pumped up the heat!

Looks like Armarouge wants to get back to training soon.

Nah, it's not like I understand his words, but...

Yeah...mostly.

I can tell more or less what he's thinkin' just by lookin' at the way his flames move.

After all, we've known each other a long time.

He probably doesn't wanna lose to the other Armarouge in Team Star.

We're gonna head off to train. Wanna join? Seems you're all fired up now too!

Come on, let's have an explosive battle!
