Scottie went to the ruins to join Cynthia for some fieldwork.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope it's not too much of a bother.

I tend to notice things when you're around, so I figured I'd invite you.

Now...I wonder what region and era these ruins are based on.

Oh! Sorry for surprising you like that.

Sorry if that surprised you. That was quite sudden, wasn't it.

This is my partner, Giratina.

Giratina's actually from a different world, one on the reverse side of ours.

It's able to move freely between our world and that other world...

But sometimes it even surprises me because it pops up out of nowhere!

I'm sure it means no harm, though.

You know, I've actually been to the world Giratina is from.

Time didn't flow, and space wasn't stable... It was a world where the rules are broken.

It was a space one might call the Distortion World.

There are a few existing theories as to why Giratina was in a world like that.

According to one, Giratina was banished to another world for its violence.

However, as I kept examining myths and reference materials from different angles, I started to uncover the truth.

I think Giratina is actually a kind soul, watching over our world from the shadows to protect us.

Oh! I guess Giratina went back to its world.

Maybe it just dropped in to say hello to you, Scottie.

That's right. We spend a lot of time apart from each other.

But...that doesn't mean I'm lonely.

Oh, I'm actually OK with it.

Even when we're worlds apart, we're always together in spirit.

I know that Giratina will always be there for me.

I'm sure it's even watching over us now, as we speak!

OK! That's enough of a break. Shall we get back to work?
